I like some of your points. Some, I feel I see this all to much, like grinding is more and year 1 is irrelevant...where is the progression?!?! Those type of things...I don't understand!!! You want progression, but yet you want the same weapons from year 1. You say the grind is more...yet its easier ( ghosts show materials ). I'm sure people are complaining about weapon parts?! It's not anyone's fault other than your own. You wanted to take the easy way and re roll your weapons or put them all into faction. It's very surprising when I see people say "beta p!ayer out of parts\material"...if you were a beta player then you know to HOLD on to everything, unless it's duplicate. You got 3 characters and plenty fault space. Any game you play for a year + is going to have DLC that you PAY for. The whole 320 and 160 difference in light has been here since day 1. It's an open world that is always online! The enemies have been 2 melee vandal, acolyte etc etc. 3 shot phalanx...etc etc you should get the point. They need a LFG in-game that is for sure. 26-34-40...means nothing its all about the light! I like the infusion process myself. Iron Banner was an disaster I agree Time gated quests aren't ideal I agree I don't know man...I just feel like people are burnt out and are finding ways to " talk themselves" out of playing and coming to the forums and seeing people agree...makes their decision that much easier. Kick back, play another game...don't even turn on your console for a month. You'll come back and enjoy it. Then realise the daily grind is what made you dislike so many things about the game you truly love.

  • Progression is something I would call in a game, where you should clear VoG to have TDB opened up. Slaughter Crota to have keys to the Prison of elders and Petra missions. Then kill Skolas to open up the dreadnought and TTK missions. Progression would be feeling that your character is actually becoming more powerful. Not just by being able to tackle higher level monsters but to make lower level monsters seem weak and insignifigant. Progression is something between a Newbie and a seasoned player. a 6 month timegate. Progression is respecting the old players and giving a challenge to the new ones. And as far as the year 1 weapons go.. I really was going to leave them behind. But Year 2 didnt offer me anything to replace them. I had a blast shooting away with my year 1 setup.. I just dont have fun with the new weapons.

  • The progression you speak of, I do see what you mean, but has never been apart of this game. The insignificant enemies are everywhere, you can take so much damage from them its not even funny The difference between a newbie and a season player is skill set, "Sherpa", grimoire, hours played, " good ol days" stories..etc. The old players earn their respect by the way they navigated their way through year 1. I struggled at 1st, finding my "go to" weapons. I've found them though. I know I may be a select few. I'm not being insulting or down playing your dislikes. I learned a very long time ago to see all angles and try to see everyone else's perspective. It's all a matter of perspective after all. Destiny needs to make changes yes, but the negative doesn't out way the positive....or you wouldn't still be here a year later.
