I have come to grips with the loss of all my year one weapons and armor. That said adding a 40+ version of the old raids that simply increase enemy level does not seem like something that would cost millions but would make a lot of people happy and add some more replayability. Instead of dropping the old gear on these higher level raids replace it with dropping engams that contain guarenteed 300+ level current expansion gear when turned in. The raids have each been one of the greatest parts of the game, and something people get true enjoyment from even just grinding them. Bungie, you should take that as a major compliment and accomplishment on level design that people are that passionate to want to replay these parts of the game, instead of dismissing the idea of a simple upgrade to the challenge level of the raid. think of it instead as an opportunity to get more replay value out of something that has already 'paid itself off' so to speak. Seems like a no brainer to me.
