First they would have to strip the elements off all the primaries (and adjust the weapons down to year two levels), then they'd have to make sure it all worked at higher light levels, then they'd have to go back and fix any glitches... By doing so, it takes away time that they spend on new content. I'd rather have new content personally.

  • they have already done all that work to bring gear down to y2 lvls ... bugs? they never fixed most of those in the last 3 raids + arena i doubt they are going to anytime soon unless it means their content is not as hard as they intended it. stripping the elements however was not such a great idea ... now i just stick primarily to 1 weapon alone instead of trying out dozens out of curiosity and element bonuses.

  • Elements dos the opposite for me, I used an elemental primary even if it was a mediocre weapon because of the element. Without elements, I feel like I have more options.

  • I haven't touched anything but the raid scout rifle for PvE. For PvP, It's hawkmoon or one of 2 pulse rifles (if I want to use invective). Back when primaries had elements, I had 3 that I would alternate between for nightfalls, 2 hand cannons for PvE and PvP (DYK and RedHand), a DevilYouDont for pvp, all my exotics for pve and pvp. And my all time favorite gun(it was kinetic): NoLandBeyond. More importantly, I kept all my raid weapons. Now, I have 1 raid scout and one pulse rifle. Everything else (secondaries included) gets scrapped or infused immediately because it is out performed by other guns EVEN IN THE RAID IT'S MEANT FOR. All I'm saying is, these raid weapons don't stand out in any way. Even though Atheons Epilogue was a horrible gun, you kept it. It was still useful because it had a burn. Now that burns are gone, the raid weapons should have something else that makes them stand out. Cocoon tries to fill that gap, but falls short.
