Just defending the Dads here...I'm a member of DoD and yes, there are dads who can spend hours on end playing till the wee hours of the night. Many of them have just one kid and/or they have an off-hours job that gives them the flexibility to play late into the night. But there are also Dads of multiple kids, who get up a 4 a.m. to start their day. For me "addicted" meant that I played between 9 p.m. - 10 p.m. during the weeknights, the time between when the kids went to bed, and when I needed to be in bed to get at least 5 1/2 hours of sleep. Then any "free" moment on the weekends when I wasn't at the gym, at the ball field, working on the house, or generally "hanging" with my wife. If I was not doing anything else, I was playing Destiny. That doesn't mean that I had loads of free time to play. Likely, that's his situation too.
