Forget the haters. You're allowed to complain. Anyone who's paying any attention can tell that it's a veritable ghost town. I'm in the same boat. Job, wife, 3 kids. I have about 80 friends and it's a rare day any of them are doing anything other than patrolling.
So, I should spend:
- 5 minutes booting up the game
- 2 minutes going to the tower and hanging hoping to get picked up
Meanwhile...
- anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour trolling reddit, bungie.net, etc. hoping someone picks me up for the raid or nightfall knowing I don't have the "required" weaponry, which is ironic since you can't get the requisite weaponry without completing the really difficult content
- then spend anywhere from 45 minutes - 3 hours trying to finish the raid.
Riiiiight. I get maybe an hour and a half at a time to play before "life" calls.
Just yesterday, I tried to play lvl 260 strikes with teams of other 290+ players and we couldn't finish either of them. It should be tough, but not damn-near impossible for casual players.
And THAT, is why I'm waiting on Fallout 4 to hit my mailbox tomorrow.

If you can't complete a strike you should probably just turn the game in.
