@Theyerrx I have coded and made content at an amateur level and have several friends that make games/apps professionally. But since I don't have any experience at a professional level I'll take your word that it is "very easy". Issues of weapon balance pertains to things like the strength of Fatebringer in PvE and elemental damage on primaries, not crucible. Fixing/tuning this will require resources. There is nothing wrong in wanting to use old weapons. We all love the original exotics. I agree with you on that. Please provide data from Bungie user research if you are gonna make claims about the number of players playing this game. I'm not here to discuss the popularity of Destiny without proof, though I'm happy to do that if you can provide official statistics. I don't play this game nearly as much as I did before. TTK lasted around 65 hours for me. I want more new content. I used to play a lot of Trials, but not so much anymore. I enjoyed the hand cannon era and I enjoy the pulse rifle meta. These days I play Halo 5 for PvP. No offense taken mate, I'm happy to discuss and hear other point of views.

 • And as far as facts go, directly from Activisions/ Blizzard; 2013 Destiny's revenue was registered and formalised at $4.85bn 2014 Destiny's revenue was registered and formalised at $4.81bn (despite bringing out the most expensive DLC) 2015, so far Destiny is on track to have a registered revenue of $4.0bn should everything go to plan (this includes the massive TTK DLC and the new micro transaction, of which to me seemed desperate). I don't know if this means a lot, but financially that's negative.

 • @Theyerrx are you looking at estimated consolidated revenues for Activision Blizzard? If you think Destiny alone brings in $4.85 billion you haven't read through the statements thoroughly enough. If you want to discuss Activision Blizzards financial statements, I would add that comparing revenues from a full game release in 2014 with a "major" expansion in 2015 makes little sense. AB even say so in their statements. I've read their latest 10-Q report and can't find the numbers you are talking about.

 • I appreciate your time to discuss this, and it's interesting to get someone else's point of view, absolutely! But you have somewhat validated my point.. Why do you play halo? Because it's a fantastic, well branded, diverse game.. Why don't you play Destiny anymore? It's due to the fact you gave me.. You've played around 65 hours and evidently completely all TTK end game content? Now what? Wait another 12 months to spend another £40? Can you honestly tell me that if you could play a 42 light version of VOG with the small chance of getting a year 2 Fatebringer, Vex, VoC, that you wouldn't throw a few hours into this? Destiny, in my opinion is an addictive sit down and grind kind of game, you could spend 10 years in one sitting doing strikes in the hope of getting a flayer mantle while your friend gets one every 15 minutes, and that's the beauty of it! That's my say on the game, but I guess that's the way I'd like to play it and I appreciate that my way, may not be everyone else's way, or infact the right way. But I do know that a business that takes in no feedback and does not build their future around the a-mentioned customer base is likely to burn out and fail.

 • "You've played around 65 hours and evidently completely all TTK end game content? Now what? Wait another 12 months to spend another £40? " Personally, I value the content provided in TTK around 100 hours worth of playtime. If Bungie intended for this amount of content to last a full year, then my response is to limit Destiny and play other games. However, my whole point in this discussion is that I want my absence to motivate Bungie to create new content to bring me back. Reintroducing old raids will not do that for me. I dont want Bungie to rest on their laurels. If reintroducing content pushes new content back just a week, then that is one week too much in my opinion. However, if Activision suddenly were to hire more people to specifically work on this in addition to new content, then that would be great. I love those raids.
