Were we the first guardians to attempt to kill oryx in the drednaught?

Edited by Qwerty: 11/8/2015 8:57:37 PMA guardian had never met Oryx until he appeared in our solar system- after we killed Crota. The guardian was also the first one to step foot on the Dreadnaught, so no one else had the chance to because we succeeded.
