1k stare only has 56 Aim Assist. That's about middle ground. A lot of other popular snipers have way more, 1k is just the most common right now, because it's free from a quest and drops a lot, For me anyway, but I doubt I'm the only person who gets like one a week at least. It's a lot more common than faction or other legendarys' so everyone uses it.

Aim assist doesn't really do that much anyway dude. It doesn't make the bullet curve, it's just helps with the reticle.
