Not as hardcore as Call of Duty? What? Each game's skill level is determined by its playerbase. Regardless of how hard or easy a game is, the skill is relative to the game. For example, you can be a god on CS:GO, but you may not be that good at Call of Duty. Why? Different games require different skills. A lot of it is transferable in an FPS, though. Let's face it, Call of Duty is an extremely casual game. It's designed to be casual. Destiny's longer time to kill objectively makes it more difficult to kill players solely because it's less forgiving when it come to aim. Honestly, Destiny does have what it takes to be have an MLG circuit if they add in a few basic features.

Ok yea, I guess CoD wasn't a great comparison. But Destiny could never be an MLG game with all the factors it has. Multiple jumps, different jump types, sliding, blinking, shadestep, supers, 27 different grenades, and weapons that can almost out-shoot anything. The reason why Halo was such a successful MLG game was because it challenged people to use the same setups and just do better than everyone else. Less emphasis on the guns and more on the players. Destiny, however, is almost entirely focused on the guns.

Edited by PrOyKaEnR: 11/7/2015 10:13:03 AMMost, or even all of your examples of why destiny couldn't be mlg are used in cod? COD has wall running, jet pack jumps, sliding... Hell it even has supers as of this year that resemble destiny very closely. One of the biggest esports fps games and it has a lot of the things you mentioned.

Yeah, happy to agree there are loads of games with more depth for skill, but COD is not one of them. UT, TF, Quake, CS, yes. COD? Hell no.
