Proof=OP plays Destiny.. That is all...
-
Old news a bungee employee even talked about it on a planet Destiny podcasts a while ago.
-
Wow that was boring. I only got halfway through before I wanted to kill myself.
-
Skill is relative to the game so considering everyone has equal footing the argument regarding skill is illogical and irrelevant. I love how people mention Destiny has no skill but they're garbage at the game, implying with less aim assist THEY would somehow become the gaming elite. I tear people up in Destiny, Battlefield, CoD, CSGO. Probably the only competitive fps I can't claim is Quake where the only true conversation of skill should even take place. This is a pleb thread for plebs.

"no other shooter i can think of"!? really? 'cuz call of dooty did this sheet MUUUCH worse! AK-74U: its so retardedly easy to spray and get the kill that i created a class JUST like the one everybody uses, and ran around, never bothered aiming, I would just pull the trigger as soon as an enemy entered my screen. i went an average of 30-3. it was disgusting. does Destiny do this? not that bad, but it still does do "sticky aim" (your aim speed slows when your cursor pans over an enemy) and aim assist (which is bullets hit based on a particularly large box, which we see him struggle to explain in the vid [sorry, he just trips over trying to say what he needs to say, and cant quite seem to explain aim assist].) but this is, like he said, quite common to consoles, but also more common to modern FPSs. Destiny does do it, yes, but its not as bad as other mainstream FPSs *coughCoDcough*. i cant speak for Halo 5 as i've yet to play it, but i imagine if you broke it down the same then it will also be "inferior" when compared to PC master race FPS (and thats sarcasticly said). also lag :p

You moving the reticle across the players body and shooting as the reticle passes the opponent. of course the bullet is going to be a little bit behind the reticle wtf?
-
What scout rifle is that?
-
I think this is more learning curve than skill.

and ill just leave this here http://youtu.be/QAbV4YqD8ps

Ah, the mighty MIDA! I sure do miss that gun. :/
-
If you dislike it so much, you're free to leave and let other people enjoy it without this crap...
-
Why do we even take games seriously? It just ruins the point of games
-
Edited by sicklecell419: 11/7/2015 1:31:32 AMHALO FANBOI I CALL IT!!!! Seriousy though, I would like to play with all guns having 0 aim assist p.s Halo 5 also has magnetic bullets too
-
It takes more skill than COD because of the demand for headshots and map awareness but can we improve? Oh you'd better believe we can. We need to. The casualization of gaming will ruin modern gaming if we let it continue.
-
To say Destiny requires no skill is just ignorant
-
Looks like more people came to see the truth
-
In the Video he keeps using the term "Hit detection" but this isn't hit detection, this is aim assist
-
Congrats on making a claim and then choosing one of the ONLY weapons in the game that can prove said claim. Did nobody hear him say the MIDA has 90% aim assist? That is the highest aim assist of any scout rifle in the game, and in fact the only primary weapons that have higher aim assist are the SUROS, Vex Mythoclast, and a few other exotics. Only a few legendary weapons make it to 90% (all scouts), but none go higher. Most legendaries of ALL primary types have an average range of 45-80% aim assist, but there are also a lot that have 30% and below. Why do you think people have been treating MIDA like a god weapon since 2.0? Obviosuly if you use OP easy weapons you're not gonna have a hard time getting kills. Easy guns= no skill. But just because there are some guns that are on easy mode doesn't put ALL guns on the same level. Most guns do require (at least some) skill to use, especially when it comes to hand cannons in their current state. On a lighter note, anyone who thinks Destiny is on an MLG level is an idiot. Obviously this is not as hardcore as CoD or Halo, but it is not as casual as OP makes it out to be. Just have fun and stop being so salty about everything. Edited by PhoneticLand: 11/7/2015 12:18:02 AMSolid vid with good points I enjoy Destiny tons. And I intend on keeping it under my belt and playing even while grinding the new Fallout. Truth is, Destiny was never made to be a game that was mlg, it's mix and myriad of tons of gaming types and skill levels. Honestly, it's things like this video that make me enjoy the game more. I can have fun and compete in Elimination and Trials even if I'd get destroyed in more serious shooters. Just my opinion Edit: Grammar

Edited by Cats In Hats: 11/7/2015 12:08:57 AMThat's why destiny is a casual game. It's meant to make the gamer feel good about themselves by filling it with easy encounters and making it so you have to barely apply yourself in PVP. But it's an even playing field. We all get the same handicaps. That's why I like it. I can just drink beer and kick back and not have to stress out about anything. Only downside is it made me really soft... I get absolutely wrecked in halo arena.
-
Which is funny bc I SUCK at Destiny PvP but in COD (w/ aim assist off bc I manually turn it off in the settings) I wreck ppl
-
DESTINY TAKES SKILL! STOP HATING ON THE BEST GAME EVER!!!!
GOTCHA BITCH
-
And I've been wondering how people makes these ridiculous hits all the time. Thanks for the great video.

Good vid.

Part of what your experiencing is visual recoil versus actual recoil. As in, it looks like your sight is up above their head due to the recoil, but the barrel is still pointed at their head. Also, everyone knows this is how AA works on primaries. It does increase bullet pull. However, snipers are different and there is no increase in bullet pull relative to AA. They all have the same amount of bullet pull. The slowing intensity of the scope is the only difference for snipers when it comes to AA.
