Bungie's PR department is one of the least skilled I've ever come across in a larger corporation.
And that's my professional view.

And yet they've still made at least a billion dollar off this game. A lot through hype obviously but there are people who liked the game enough to buy TTK; it was the top seller the week it came out. The issues in the base game were even more plentiful than with this update yet people bought TTK anyway. Bungie has always had a sarcastic tone with how they deliver anything newsworthy to the players, they've still sold a ton of Halo and now Destiny. Based on Bungies track record with hype machine driven sales on their products, activision likely takes notice that this is a good partnership that has brought in a lot of money for them. Basically activision invested in bungie and it paid off handsomely for them. Even if activision doesn't like what bungie has said and done with this game; to the point where after this current contract is up and they don't want to work with bungie in the future, someone else will. Because another company will realize and understand the money train that a partnership with bungie will bring with them is good for their business. At this point bungie could never do anything with destiny for the rest of their contract with activision and still come out looking good for future investors on the bottom line aspect. Obviously this won't happen as contractual obligations are contractual obligations. What some of the people here don't understand is that they're whining about how they think DeeJ comes across is absolutely meaningless. A company and hell every individual on this planet should realize that you're not gonna please everyone and there are people out there who are so fragile that they'll take any opportunity to be offended.

That's because they're trying to communicate on our level. They're trying not to appear too "corporatey". Hence a certain lack of professionalism which I'm fine with. Plus these forums are always cruel about them and a lot is unwarranted.

Edited by Socialice: 11/6/2015 7:58:39 AMThis is about a video game. People who can't lighten up about what someone says on a video game forum might want to reconsider their priorities. Also considering no one knows what your profession actually is this post holds no value.

Edited by iZnth: 11/6/2015 8:26:31 AMNo, this is a business. It's a video game for you. It's an investment for Activision. I was also referring to more than just their latest "Weekly Update". Lawyer, used to work in M&A and corporate finance, typically focusing on capital procurement but did a lot of DD. Currently CEO of a PR firm.

Video games are billion dollar business...when will people realise when billions are at stake nothing is just a game.
