Hi, actual art major here. We do get constantly critiqued, that's the point. If something is wrong it needs fixed so that we can become a better "business" so to speak. The ones who don't improve upon their work either get weeded out or end up not successful. It's a fact that you don't just be "Oh well i like it so nobody can criticize it" and come out well. The whole point of critiques is to make your ideas and execution stronger, which is what every company should focus on to continue profits.

  • Glad there's more of us. I graduated with a degree in art and currently have a career in graphic design. Yes I get critiqued daily, so I have to take it objectively in order for my business to thrive. If I had a manager, or a boss with the same toxic and abrasive attitude as this community (or at least the negative trending posts) I would have quit a long time ago, and taken my talents else where due to my own self respect. It's something you may learn too when you finish school.

  • I mean yeah they're toxic; but I think of it like this one girl in my class a few years ago. It was an acrylic painting project, and instead of putting in the time to paint well; she cut out the shapes and glued them to a background using rubber cement. Naturally she got rekt in critique, ended up crying. But at that point, she had been told her strengths and weaknesses but yet she still decided to be lazy and try to pass it off. I think the same could be said in this instance. Bungie knows the strengths and weaknesses of the game, yet continues to make the same mistakes over and over again, which in turn enrages the community. I have seen great criticism in the forum, but I think you get tired of telling someone the same critique and them never listening to you. Also, im fine arts here 😊 design and fine arts are separate at my school. Haha I actually made a hawkmoon-inspired necklace for my boyfriend once 😂(metals emphasis).
