High above the old Cosmodrome, at the very top of the rusting colony ship, dark intentions were being set in motion. Ever since the Taken had been cleared out of the area, the House of Devils started creeping back in to fill the gap. City Intel stated that there were some strange power fluctuations coming from that location, so naturally, the Vanguard sent out a single guardian to go poking around. Korvic couldn't complain too much. He loved any excuse to get out of the Tower every once in a while. He reached the top level of the colony ship without too much trouble, but he couldn't shake the feeling that things were a bit too quiet. His suspicions were confirmed when something big dropped in from the ceiling. A hulking behemoth of a machine, scrapped together from parts of a Walker, servitors, even what looked to be parts of Skiff. Panels from the ship fell off of the walls as the machine stood up and readied its guns. The entire ship started shaking, threatening to collapse on top of them. The tremors caused Korvic to stumble slightly, but he managed to regain his footing. The mechanical giant fired a shot from a walker cannon. Korvic dodged out of the way, but the shot managed to ignite a leaking fuel canister. The fire spread across a trail of rocket fuel leading up to a large stockpile. One glance at the situation was all Korvic needed to know to get the hell out of dodge. He took off running for an opening in the structure. Unfortunately, the Fallen mech came crashing through after him. The two of them fell off of the rig right as the fuel canisters caught fire. The resulting explosion sent the uppermost section of the colony ship off into a fiery gout of burning rocket fuel. The Fallen mech started firing everything it had at Korvic as they plummeted faster and faster towards the ground. Korvic quickly unsheathed his Bolt-Caster and in a blur of motion deflected most of the smaller munitions. A larger, explosive payload forced him to block and absorb the impact of the blast. Once the smoke cleared, Korvic could see the mech crashing into the ground below. Right before he would have met the same fate, he swung his sword horizontally, creating enough lift to break his fall. He looked towards the small crater the mech had created when it crashed, only to see it slowly rising back up. The machine was battered and sparking, but still very functional. Korvic laughed, "Still got some fight in you, eh?" The mech roared mechanically in response. "Ok then..." Korvic tightened his grip around his Bolt-Caster, prompting the blade to spark violently in a torrent of lightning. "... Let's dance!" (Open to all you beautiful sons'a'bitches.)
