I'm starting to believe the "destiny's dying" threads.
Less people on LFG, less topics on the forums, etc.

I haven't played in almost two weeks. There's been a plateau, and now even the hard raid has no appeal.

-stupid patches -bad PvP (as soon as a team gains the lead they conveniently all red bar and get disconnected) -no dedicated servers -there's a raid and there's hardmode which means don't die as much and watch out for knights? -to get all this you need to pay $40

2 RepliesYep! A lot of my friends list who played destiny daily are now on other games too. It's dying. Slowly. But people still play it on the occasion so it cannot officially die

Lots of new good games are coming out at the same time most people have finished grinding in destiny. It's expected that you will see the numbers drop. In the future I assume they will bring people back for a bit with an update or dlc.

2 RepliesTrials of Osiris = Forum for Bullying other players into not trying or not attempting the lighthouse. Crucible = Forum for people to complain about everything from weapon stats to sub classes. Kings Fall = Destinys way of pranking everyone into thinking they will get better gear. Crotas, Vault of Glass = Questlines and obsolite. ( VoG was a great raid with great rewards what happened bungie?) Legendary Marks = Useless form of currency after level 40. Ships, Shaders and Emblems = Don't drop from anything raids, strikes or crucible. Exotics = Timegated and to an extent completely useless. Gameplay = Sniper, Sniper and Sniper. Bungie promised us gold and gave us pyrites. Collectors edition content = Completely useless after level 40. Bungie says they read the forums hourly = They see everything with blinkered vision and manipulate what is said to suit them. Micro Transactions = Destiny is losing money because of an ever(verse) decreasing fan base. I sit and read the updates daily and what has bungie actually done. A couple of minor changes to placate an ever bored and aggrivated game population . I seriously doubt the players of Destiny will ever get what they were promised because = DESTINY RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CHANGE EVERYTHING NO MATTER WHAT WE WANT OR SAY.

People have plenty of friends by now and don't like getting on here to see dumb statements made by numerous amounts of people that do nothing but put people down and scream negativity in every direction. It's a joke and is sad bc this community is capable of being so much better. If people start leaving it's going to be because of all the ass holes on the forums ruining the game since nothing is ever good enough no matter what Bungie does for you people and none of you and will ever be satisfied for a company that works overtime trying to meet demand and continuously improve and expand while at the same time continuing to push the best gaming experience available for its customers. It's a joke how immature this community acts.

Ive been off since hard raid launched. Haven't set foot in it yet. Just can't be bothered. But I've done this 3-4 times over the past year, just take a few weeks get some achievements on other games and then come back.

5 RepliesOf course destiny is dying down. We are nearing the 2 month mark and a bunch of new games are coming out or about to come out. A DLC can only hold for so long. Destiny would atleast announce the next DLC by now in year 1, but nothing is even mentioned yet. Big mistake. no hype, and nothing to even look forward to. Everyone will move on for awhile and then when the next DLC drops, a bunch of people will come back. It's the circle of MMOs. Expect to see less and less while we wait for next big DLC.

2 RepliesI'm patient. Black ops is the epitome of repetitive. I have a bunch of quests to do and some rift to play, hopefully all the super good pvp players flock to cod for a while so I can dunk the spark. They will be back.

Yea I'm over 310 after completing hard mode raid really don't feel need to do any strikes or the raid and rewards on pvp suck other day did exotic class item quest had to get ten wins prob took fifteen games or more didn't get anything purple

With the base game, I did everything, got stuck at 'forever 29' and stopped playing in November when Halo MCC and Dragon Age dropped. Stayed gone for a month before some friends talked me into playing it the new DLC. Got back on, had fun for awhile, then played some other games for a bit. Then HoW dropped, played that for a bit, left, and the process has repeated this DLC, but it seems like I stick around less and less before I burn out again. I played the original all the time, trying to collect everything. Still never finished VoG because I only really had one character done during that time and couldn't be bothered to play my others past level 20. But Dragon Age dropped and everything was thrust to the wayside to play that. Crota, it was okay, but the raid became easy. I stuck around, once again trying to get some of the gear. I wanted to be max light. Skolas. This was better than Crota, but the lack of raid, and the near worthlessness of PoE just killed my enthusiasm. I had artificial difficulty in games. Actually put in a challenge. If the only way you can make it consistently challenging is by making the enemies stronger than I can ever be, you have failed as a developer. I only ran PoE for etheric light, but only for so long, and for the tier II weapons. Got what I wanted, for most part, but couldn't be bothered to keep running it. Skolas was just more tedious and annoying than fun. Enter Oryx. Far, far better, but I have no desire to raid. My main still has a 300 chestpiece from the first raid, and I just don't care. Primaries have nothing worth it on them. No burns? Really? People say they felt obligated to use them because they had burn. I used SUROS all the time, even when auto rifles were crap. I only put on elementals during nightfall or PoE when a burn called for it. This whole DLC? Timegate exotics/ships/etc. are not going to keep me coming back. I'll do them, but it'll be done in like an hour and I can go back to fun elsewhere. I watch the forums, because it's posted all over when one pops up. Nightfalls? Not worth it at all. You mean I can get 17 strange coins? I can get 10 three of coins? I can get a legendary that I'll dismantle for 3 legendary marks? Woo... I ran nightfalls for the chance at exotics. That was the only way to get armor, save Xur. Three of coins has rendered both moot. The only exotic I can get right now is Telesto, because that is my Gjallarhorn this time around, but you know how gear is supposed to avoid as many duplicates and try to get you what you don't have? Tell that to my 5 Hereafters and 4 Invectives. Not a single Telesto. All the potential rewards I can get from nightfall/exotic chest from raid? Shards/worthless stuff. The raid? What's the point anyway. Woo I can get over 300 to run it 100 more times before I hit 310 because RNG doesn't like me? Now I can run hard mode and have to deal with more overleveled enemies with cheap tricks killing me just so I can run it again and again and again praying for the gear to get me to 318/319? What's the point of it all? I'm not having fun with this game much anymore, and I feel it's almost time to retire it. Each burnout leaves me coming back for less and less time. I'm tired of getting garbage, I'm tired of grinding with little to no chance of getting what I desire. I'm tired of timegates, or content locked away from me. I'm tired of year-long exclusive BS. Hey, here's Destiny 2! But you'll have to play Destiny 1 for another month or so just trying to get the PS exclusive stuff because you can't get it/do it in Destiny 2. Every exotic should have a NON-TIMEGATED QUEST to get it. If I finish it all and have nothing left to do, that's my own damn fault, and have no reason to complain about a lack of stuff to do. When I spend a lot of time trying to get something just to get a big middle finger as a reward, I don't feel the urge to come back. This DLC started as fresh and wonderful but has become worse than year 1 ever was for me. Maybe Bungie will get it through their heads that this kind of stuff doesn't make people feel good or want to come back, but I doubt they will. I'll keep an eye on the next DLC, and will probably end up finishing the first game, but at this point Destiny 2 is probably not something I want to do if it stays the same way. TLDR; I'm tired of everything and I'm just sticking around hoping it gets better, but I'm close to being done.

It's one thing to attach a grind to every facet of the game, but it's another to have said grind while supplying virtually no content. Destiny wants to act like an MMO (just lol@the idea) while supplying 5% of the content of an actual MMO. That's not how this works.
