Destiny TTK has no dlc's for it yet and should be compared to destiny before Crota and Skolas. So in my opinion we shouldn't rush to any conclusions until both destiny and TTK have their respective dlc's out so they can defend themselves

Why? The game is an ongoing experience, and any given snapshot of the experience is equally comparable to the rest. Did I have fun when it first came out? Sure. There were problems. Did I have fun when TDB came out? Sure. There were problems, but things got a little better. Did I have fun when HOW came out? Sure. There were problems, but things got a little better. Am I having fun now that TTK has come out? Sure. But there were problems, and now there are even bigger problems. The experience should never backslide, especially immediately after asking for another $40 from every player that wants to play all the content. You gained one raid, but lost any profit from two raids and prison of elders. Do you think the net change in content, not even factoring in any of the other changes they've made, made this game worth an additional $40 over what we already played? At any given moment, Bungie needs to be able to defend the product as it stands. "You'll have way more fun in a couple months" doesn't cut it.

you are exactly right . people are not considering that we paid for those expansions and in effect those weapons and gear just to lose them...... i dont know what is going on with bungie but i think they are royally messing up...maybe they are just slow playing things but if we really lose year 1 stuff for good i will not buy in to any more of their so called great new things

Honestly bungie trying to pull TTK as it own game by removing everything from year one and putting it on year two. No crucible without TTK. No strike without TTK. No raid without TTK. No nightfall without TTK. No weekly. No daily. All you had was a failed excuse of a story from year one.

TTK is DLC, just a bigger one. I think what you mean is year 1 dlc vs year 2 dlc right?
