Mmo content is built to be discarded within a year, usually less, so im surprised many exotic weapons got year 2 versions

year 2 exotics exist because its easier than coming up with new weapons.

I played FFXI for almost 10 years, 8 years later I was still going back to sky to farm abjurations, 6 years later I was still hitting limbus for beast coins, 2-3 years later I was still heading in to abyssea to level up. That argument is bad for two reasons. One, bungie says that it's a fpsmmorpaga or some shit like that and not an mmo. Two, Bungie already set a standard via etheric light and then smacked us in the face by taking it away. I like saying that destiny takes 1 step forward and then trips and falls down the slope.

Most games build on content not make it obsolete.
