The whole making Year 2 version of Year 1 gear is pointless, Bungie was so afraid that if they did gave every Year 1 Exotic gear Infuse, players will be using those Year 1 Exotics over the Year 2 Exotics because Bungie didn't have [u]faith & confidence[/u] that the new gear wouldn't be good enough so did this separation to make them irreverent in PvE.
