They never said micro transactions would fund future dlcs. I stopped reading after that. the emotes were to support the live teams; the live-support, iron banner, trials, etc. Because they had out staffed their budget.

Ya I do believe they out staffed they're budget. Since release last year they have introduce weekly curcible, gunsmith ranking and testing, enemy spawns in patrol, trails, and holiday events. Which assuming their budget was made Pre release last year for the staff and the jobs they were response able for, ya they could easily go over their budget.

They're contract isn't just for destiny. Destiny was only a four year plan. (Probaly longer now with the success that they have had). They have other projects they are are working on too. Live support budget is probaly only around 1.5 million dollars anullay. With a staff of 30 they would easily exceed that budget. That's just one small department. Now add in the devlopers for every part of the game, the music production, voice casting and recording, game design, and office/management, etc. Then add in all the equipment that they use to create the game. Plus all the traveling they do to travel to game coms and interact with the fan/player base. Do the math and you will see where all that money goes. Bungie, naughty dog, ubisoft, Rockstar, EA, etc. are multi-million dollar companies.
