Exactly. I played FFXI for over 4 years, and they never made a single location/story mission irrelevant. When they added new content, they upped the level to add to the progression. I was also able to use my juggernaut and other exotic-equivalents throughout the game progression. Bungie could learn a lot from them.

Its called balancing. They have terrabytes of game data that they go through all the time. Decisions bungie makes on sandbox changes to the game aren't just random. Theres a reason elemental primaries were removed. There's a reason year one weapons weren't brought forward. Bungie knows they've failed when 80 percent of the community uses the same 3 or 4 guns and never switches. Fatebringer being equip at ALL times on 80 percent of people that had it same with VoC. This is the first venture bungie has made into this type of game there is guaranteed to be mistakes.
