You mean he presented logical counter points using the authors own linked references to refute what a naive child who made an insulting analogy claimed? Oh yes we should shame him for bringing that kind of rational debate to a board littered with spoiled children and entitled millennials.

Hey hey, I'm not entitled. I got what I paid for, more or less.

  • You don't get it. If you come to these forums and put in the work to defend a company that doesn't even bother to defend itself or address us, yes, you look like a zealot and a fanboy and it's rather unsightly. Just letting you know.

  • There is a difference between offering an opinion in a debate vs. Being completely slanderous. I could hate Bungie with all my heart, but that doesn't mean that I would not join a thread to defend them if someone is just spewing lies. It's not about being a "fanboy", it's about being a normal, logical human being.

  • The OP isn't lying about Bungie's tactics. They've been doing some pretty unethical things to their players to maximize profit since before the game was even released. Why you think they need you to come cushion the blow when someone calls them out is beyond me. I'm sure they have exotic armor constructed out of our money that suffices quite nicely. Woe is Bungievision, poor little guys. Stop picking on them, OP!

  • Actually, I was defending Dog of War more so than Bungie in my post. However, I won't mind having a discussion of you want. Which of OP's points are valid? Microtransactions that fund future events? I have no reason to believe that's false. The key word here is events. Calling people naive for thinking free DLC would be coming? You know what, I can agree with him on that point. Cutting content to sell back to us? Well, the only thing I think I can include here is the Nightfall. I could be mistaken, but what else do they take away? Bringing up the point of how other games handle their DLC? Okay... That's great. I'm glad for those games. He brought up positive examples. It makes Bungie look bad. Woohoo. There are 2 sides to this argument. Take "The Sims" (a few within the series) for example. Have you seen the cost and amount of microtransactions in those games? Man, it must make Bungie look amazing. At least, if that's the mindset we're going to go with here.

  • Will all you whiners just leave already. It will hit bungie a lot harder than the dumb forum posts.
