You cry baby, diaper wearing, millennial douchebags. This is how every single mmo works. They don't keep old crap around because... SURPRISE its old. If developers made changes solely based on the minority of the player base then we would have one boring game.

  • Lame argument, not an mmo It's a co-op fps, And when an mmo, like the big mmo games you, and others keep hopelessly trying to compare destiny to, drop a dlc it's as big if not bigger than the previous iteration was, like if ttk was as big as all y1 content If that happened you, and other people that keep saying this bs would have a valid point and I would agree with you However, the game is not big enough, and the loot pool not large and diverse enough to throw everything away every 3-6 months, and a majority of people are not happy with the direction they took this game, as evidence of 70-80% of these forum posts' comments are showing As my, and most everyone i play with on the regs, in game roster dropping by 75-80% Stop being a fan boy lol They had good ideas this time, but they implemented many of them poorly They purposely restricted and lowered drop rates to stretch the thin content They time gated content to stretch the thin content Bottom line, the game is not big enough to just drop all the old content

  • BS - I've been playing MMO's for a very long time, and this is the only one that in a single DLC made more content irrelevant than it provided.

  • There's certain MMORPG's that completely change a zone or remove it all together for the course of the story.

  • Maybe, but they also add equal or more content in the process.

  • Exactly. I played FFXI for over 4 years, and they never made a single location/story mission irrelevant. When they added new content, they upped the level to add to the progression. I was also able to use my juggernaut and other exotic-equivalents throughout the game progression. Bungie could learn a lot from them.

  • Its called balancing. They have terrabytes of game data that they go through all the time. Decisions bungie makes on sandbox changes to the game aren't just random. Theres a reason elemental primaries were removed. There's a reason year one weapons weren't brought forward. Bungie knows they've failed when 80 percent of the community uses the same 3 or 4 guns and never switches. Fatebringer being equip at ALL times on 80 percent of people that had it same with VoC. This is the first venture bungie has made into this type of game there is guaranteed to be mistakes.

  • If destiny was solely an MMO i'd agree with you. However, it's not. It is a FPS with MMO tendencies. It does not have the vast array of gear you get with normal MMOs which make losing old gear irrelevant. They need to either increase their loot pool, or keep old stuff relevant.

  • But that's not how it has to work in Destiny. There was nothing preventing Bungie from making a year 2 version of weapons like Plan C or Universal Remote. They weren't overpowered and were fun to use. A lot of the content that was made obsolete without benefit to the company or the players.

  • The whole making Year 2 version of Year 1 gear is pointless, Bungie was so afraid that if they did gave every Year 1 Exotic gear Infuse, players will be using those Year 1 Exotics over the Year 2 Exotics because Bungie didn't have faith & confidence that the new gear wouldn't be good enough so did this separation to make them irreverent in PvE.

Because the year 2 gear isn't good enough, they know they made shit and this is the only way to sorta fix it. Btw I agree with you.

  • While I get your point, most keep old end game content, like raids, relevant.

  • if you don't have thick enough skin to take criticism, then don't post. Simple as that. The reality is that not everyone in the world is going to agree with you and the only person you're hurting by shielding yourself from it is YOU!

  • @Arn Scotto1 LOL. I'm a troll who's not smart enough to come up with any coherent thought to prove my point, so I'm going to attempt to berate someone/anyone with an ambiguous insult like "thin skinned" in order to overcome the lack of love I was shown due to being illegitimate child.
