This argument is flawed in the sense that the developers should be making changes based solely on what players want.
Sometimes the things players want are bad for the game.
Vanilla weapons were created in a way that it left very few end game options, and the only way to expand that weapon base without leaving them behind was an inevitable power creep that would either trivialize encounters, or make enemies even larger bullet sponges.
Field scout, range finder, final round, etc., complained about or not, these perks either allowed people to make unbalanced weapons, or abuse in game mechanics. They need to be changed or removed.
Some things were changed to limit how fast you could progress, like nightfall rewards. Otherwise people blow through content and then complain. Did they do it the right way? No. It needs to be fixed (again).
Yes, I will agree that limited the amount of strikes was a bad move. They should seek to expand their base to revive old strikes and raid.
And while I am sure being edgy is fun, and your trying to lend yourself some credibility by worrying about your thread being taken down, it won't be. Not by the ninjas. If enough people report it, it gets temporarily removed until a Ninja can restore it.

There is no excuse for making all the year one content irrelevant. Guns like party crasher, spare change make it to yr2 but your raid weapons don't? Come on. A little bit of work(which Bungie seems scared of) could have easily balanced those weapons. You want fatebringer yr 2, you have to sacrifice the elemental damage. Problem solved. Any gun with the questionable perks has that perk changed. Folk might complain but id rather be missing a couple perks than a years worth of content.

Yeah because the primaries had elements attached to them. Have you seen a single primary with an element since year two came out that was not an exotic? No you have not. It's weird, right? it's like they got rid of year one guns to get rid of those or something.
-
Zhalo Supercell oddly enough. That's about it though. Super weird that they gave us just one elemental primary.
-
And it's exotic, he said elemental primaries that were not exotic.

My bad. Somehow missed that part.

I agree with the post. But, I also agree with many points you included inside of your response. 10/10

the post isn't about what people want. it's what people never complained about in the first place.

Field Scout was changed, people didn't want it changed. But it was overused and created unbalanced weapons. Gjallerhorn was nerfed, the reason that it was nerfed wasn't because of the elitism, but because of the sheer amount of damage it caused. People never complained about that, but the nerf happened anyways. Now we can have non-bullet sponge bosses. People still want unnerfed Gjallerhorn back People never complained about Icebreaker, but it caused people trivializing encounters by sitting back and waiting for ammo to regenerate. I think you get the picture. Changes need to happen that people may not want.
