People have said this in all of the moronic posts like this, but, Hereafter has 75 AA, when the 1000 Yard Stare has 56. Also, year one snipers had way more aim assist, mainly due to the fact that you could re-roll them to get Hidden Hand. Nobody bitched about it because they were too busy bitching about shotguns. Now that shotties are fine, people have to find [i]something[/i] to bitch about. Nothing can be balanced, as people will find a way to complain about it when they get killed in crucible and can't accept that that person is more skilled than them.
TL;DR: Shut up and stop bitching, Y1 snipers were worse.

Because I have proof based on the stats and availability of the "OP" snipers from Y1. -Her Benevolence had a base AA of 40. Though this is lower than 1000 yard, you could very easily aquire one and reroll it to have HH and Shortgaze. HH adds 20 and Shortgaze previously added 10 I beleive, giving the HB a total of 70 AA. -Shadow of Veils had a base of 69(lel) and it came with Shortgaze guaranteed, giving it 79 AA. This sniper was also [u]very[/u] easily quired. -Eye of Sol had a base of 61 and also came with Shortgaze, giving it 71. This one isn't as easily aquired, however. Those are just the HoW snipers. -Longbow Synthesis had a base of 53. With a good roll with a Shortgaze, you could get 63. -LDR has a base of 49, with Shortgaze you can get 59. Point proven.

Edit- and I'm pretty sure the new iron banner sniper has insane AA base although I'm not sure the exact stat. This is also a reason for why I disagreed

Not getting hostile, wasn't trying to anyway. Just trying to educate the people who think snipers have "changed" or are just now having high ammounts of AA, when they are no different.

You could get her benevolence up to like 70/75. Base of 40 Plus 15 for shortgaze Plus 15/20 for hidden hand

It's more prevalent now because the shotgun nerf has changed the secondary choice for many crucible players. People are being sniped way more and so it feels like there is a problem.
