1000 yard stare aim assist (56) isn't even close to the aim assist of the hereafter (75) or the raid sniper Yasmin (69).
Now those snipers you can get sky sniped by (players are able to jump in the air and snipe you with hereafter and Yasmin easily)
Only reason you see 1000 yard stares more is because it's impact is high enough to resurrect snipe (when you get revived and get immediately sniped).

I feel like Yasmin doesn't have a lot of AA! Huh!
-
Um, I picked it up for the first time this morning and consistently landed jump snipes... I can't do that with a 1000 Yard or Stillpeircer.
-
We're do you find these numbers ?

1000 yard has a base AA of 50 but has a max AA of 80 with the right perks/scopes
-
Right. Nobody wants to acknowledge that part. To busy defending
-
Plus the extra aa from shortgaze and hidden hand.
-
Shortgaze doesn't give any aim assist anymore
-
Really? What about longview?
-
I believe it does
-
I would say the need for aim assist also has a lot to do with a game that suffers lag due to not having servers.
-
That's true.
-
Let's do some math what's 56 + 20? 76! AA
-
If your 1000 yard stare has hidden hand. I've played trials this weekend and not once did I see a 1000 yard stare with hidden hand. Most of them had the quest reward roll of last resort and Firefly.
-
Hidden hand is what I'm referring to it is just worse on that weapon and will not roll on hereafter and the raid sniper everyone keeps saying have higher aim assist
-
I don't care, if you are a good sniper you don't need aim assist it should be taken out altogether. After all, shouldn't sniping require skill and not having the game do it for you??
-
Aim assist doesn't snipe for you though... It doesn't pull your shots in on your body or head. Aim assist only moves your weapon when someone passes you while ADS and it slows your movement down when you are on the body of the enemy or very close to it.

Edited by jrobb1999: 11/4/2015 12:27:01 PMAim assist screws up more shots for me than it helps. When someone runs out in front of you while ads further down the map... Nothing more frustrating than missing a sure kill shot. Btw I use my stillpiercer for pve and pvp. Have a 1000 yd stare but like the stillpiercer better. Barely touch the hereafter at all.
-
From my knowledge that one has more aim assist than 1000 yard does. It does mess up shots more than it actually helps for the very reason you explained.
-
You don't notice it, but aim assist saves you more than you can count. Try shooting a sprinting teamate. Then you know why we have aim assist
-
Everyone says stuff like that..... I understand maybe it is difficult for a lot of people to hit their sprinting teammate but for me its not I usually hit what I aim at I don't need aim assist or "hidden hand". Just like saying I can't shoot same spot on that wall because I don't have aim assist doesn't matter I can still aim at the same spot i dont need the game to help me point my weapon
