My girlfriend of 3 years has left me
I don't really know how I feel because the relationship was pretty rocky over the past year.
The bottom line is she won't accept me for the person I am and keeps trying to change me. I've had enough.
I went to school, got straight As, went to university got a 2.1 im in a good well paid job and for the past 10 years I've been working my ass off ( 7 years studying and 3 years working). I work 6 days a week and I know that's not a lot compared to some people but my job is very mentally draining
I'm sick of it and dunno what to do. Maybe I should just change. She doesn't accept the fact that when I finish work i need some downtime and need to relax, as soon as i get in she wants me to do stuff like go shopping or sort stuff out in the house. Its taking its toll on me

If she is trying to change you then she doesn't want you. Sorry man its what it's is if she liked you she would like you the way you are. She is trying to mold you into something she wants and it's not good for you and if it's not going to make you happy then she isn't happy and your not so it's a waste of time.

She wants a bad boy maybe

Do not change . Jesus you have obviously done really well with yourself. I am sorry to hear that she doesn't appreciate who you are. Was with my ex fiancée 8 years. Believe me sometimes it just not meant to be.

If the relationship wasn't working, sometimes it's best for both parties to just go their separate ways. I was with a girl for 4 years, in the end we wanted different things and it was best for us to part ways. Best advice I can give is just to be honest with each other and understand what each of you expect from the relationship. If you don't communicate how you are feeling, you are eventually going to be miserable.

I see two possible problems which may or may not be spot on. Are you unconsciously telling yourself that you do more thn you should n tht its not fair for you? She wants you to change the things that are really very meaningful and they dragging the relationship down? Or, is she selfishly telling you to change just to fit her needs? Are the chores in the house badly distributed and is dhe stressing you more thn she should? What kind of gf doesn't understand the meaning of relaxation tho...wtf. if i had a guy, id make him go to sleep like a baby now n thn lol.

If she doesn't love you for who you are, you're better off without her. Sure, dating sucks, as does being lonely, but you said yourself, you work yourself to the bone and she just demands more from you without any seeming consideration for what you need. Be honest with her - if she doesn't want to understand, then she doesn't want you... She wants the caricature of what she thinks is you (which isn't fair for either of you). I've been there, duder... The longer it takes to get it in the open, the worse it'll be when it does.. Hang in there, and good luck regardless of your choice!

I think the problem is solved. No more analysis. Move on and date somebody else.

Let it out, don't make big changes if the separation is fresh. My wife left me after 13 years together, i put my dreams on hold to put her through law school, after her career was launched and I'd found a job I enjoyed with the career choices I'd had to make, she left me for a partner at her firm. Completely blindsided but here I am two years later, back on my feet. I started loving my job again a little over a month ago, I'm also starting to feel like living again. My point is; If you liked what you do and who you were before she got all dramatic, don't change until you find yourself again.
