Do you think there is a chance a hive might reject the sword logic and the deep. In the books of sorrow Oryx was conflicted about the sword logic in the beginning like when he tried to parlay and Savathun killed him. Could a hive ever change their philosophy and change sides. Also it seems antithetical to sword logic that Oryx was sad about Crota and wanted to avenge his father. Shouldn't he have felt that Crota deserved to die if he was weak enough to be killed.

  • All Hive spawnlings have a worm that they must feed. The only way to abandon the logic of the sword would be to remove the worm, which probably means death. Deals with the Devil are a permanent thing.

  • I don't think the Hive will ever turn away from the Darkness. From birth each is infected by a worm. It commands their entire existence from a subconscious level. Yeah, Oryx has always been a bit on the fence about the Worms and their quest. Oryx probably came to our system to wipe out the Traveler and the Light, as is his Worm's command. However, he could have also been out for revenge
