"Yeah, I'll see if I can get this up and running by tomorrow."

"Anything I can do to help."

"Yeah, I need you to show my men where to put the gate and how to keep it there."

He shows the vex the underbelly of the ship, and hooks they had installed before as an attempt in mid-air refeuling. "If we can use the hooks, they will support the weight of the gate.

"Good idea. Just don't expect any miracles right off the bat." [b]quasis and her vex begin to work[/b]

He grabs the tools that allow him to program glimmer. "So, tell me what you need from this."

"The frequency of a gate, keep messing with it until I tell you to stop or it looks like it is a gate."

"Okay." He starts to tune the glimmer, it changing color and shape each time, slowly approaching the desired properties.

[b]quasis keeps working on the frame of the gate[/b]

He finally reaches a point to where it looks like the gate. "Is this it?"

"Yeah, put it in the frame now. It should stabilize it so we aren't sucked into god knows where."

With the help of a vex, he manages to set the gate into the frame. "I'm guessing we should stand back for testing."

"Yeah, anyone willing to test it?"
-
"One moment." Hunter exits, then after 5 minutes, comes back with a makeshift mechanism. "this thing would like to."

"So will you just connect it to the ship and send it off?"

"I'm going to. Thankfully the ship can be used as a UAV, so as long as it doesn't destroy the planet, we're good" He hooks up the switch, then radios for a takeoff. "I would back up a bit."

[b]quasis and the rest of them back off, making sure that they were at a safe distance[/b]

Hunter hits a switch, and the ship takes off. After it is a safe distance away, the Gate is activated.

"And now we wait to see if that works."

A vex from the Precursors falls out, and the gate shuts down. "I think it works for the most part." The ship turns back and land, allowing them to inspect the creation. Hunter inspects the ship.

[b]quasis inspects it with him[/b] "We need to set up our own network so that vex don't step out of the gate mid flight."

"How long does that take? Because we also need to get a more powerful source for the gate."
-
"A week or two, it depends on how many gates we will be using."
-
"How about 6 gates, just to start out with? We can expand from there."
-
"Hmmm, yeah, that will take about a week."
-
"5 gates left. 5 hours per gate. Just over 8 days until we have the best transportation in they system.
