"I'm an old exo." After hearing some noises, he picks her up, and carries her over to a safer place. "Hunter-0, research division. I know things that even the highest warlocks don't. A while back, I killed a vex gate-lord, and implanted some of its communication tech into myself. Later, I got in a fight with a wizard, and the implants were taken, putting me where I am now." He sends out his ghost to scan the area.

She studies him carefully, whilst cleaning the ichor from her gauntlets. E:"well it seems we have a few things in common, I've had my own incident with vex tech only mine was accidental," She indicates to the silvery markings running across her left eye and down under her collar. Her ghost appears L: " That's what comes of getting close to a conflux during a surge and embracing a hobgoblin." It blinks away. E:"Please ignore loop, even after nearly a century together it still dislikes me ,anyway the incident fed me information. Information I have been tracking since." She pauses to look around, E: "So why were u here?"

"Same reason you were, he says blatantly. "Information. I was hoping your means would get the wizard to spill." The Taken eye blinks in and out as he flinches in pain, before he reverts to just an average guardian, as he was first seen. "I have to find a way to get rid of that eye, yet keep the powers. It's been a confusing search." His ghost comes back, as Hunter looks at it, reporting with "[I]Nothing. I was able to recover that wizard body though.[/I].' Hunter regains eye contact with Echo. "So, do you still need that wizard, or can I do something with it?."

E: " No I am good, Is there anything I can do to help, these energy bonds are handy by the way, you just throw them like a bolas" She passes a set Hunters way, then she circles him ,curiosity getting the better of her manners. Her hand reaches out E: " Can i just....

He picks up the bonds, confused. "Just what?" The ghost dispenses the body, and Hunter uses the bonds on it, for safety, not taking his sight off of Echo. His ghost then exits to go scan the area, leaving the two. Hunter takes his knife and stabs it into the ground, before he stands again.

She steps back E:" sorry it's just....I mean...how do u turn back? I wondered if I could read anything from you while you were taken ,but I'd have to phase through you.I might access stuff you don't want to share" She had been talking too quickly and paused. E:"Look I can help you ,we can catch another wizard but I need to know what I'm looking for? Or I can try and access what your looking for through you?" She realises she's been staring at his knife still stuck in the floor. She looks up to hold his gaze. E:" What do you think,?" She says quietly.

"well, changing back is just something I do. It's like an organics breathing. They don't think about their diaphragm expanding and contracting. They can control it, but it just happens naturally. As for if you want to try to read, feel free. I'm going to need to use the powers anyways." He does release his taken energy, turning to his taken form again. He then spreads out his arms, like she had detained the wizard, seeming slightly hesitant, but relaxes as he realizes that maybe this could help him understand the powers. "Whenever you're ready."

She mimicked his wince as he shape shifted and stepped forward almost toe to toe. With her left hand she took a hold of his right wrist, E: "Just relax it only becomes uncomfortable if you resist, if you start going static on me, intentionally or otherwise I will stop" The void begins to swirl around her right hand, from just below her shoulder her arm begins to fade. She places her hand over his chest closes her eyes and exhales. At first there is resistance which is normal. E:"Your subconscious is just trying to defend you" She resists telling him her biggest fear that his taken form will try to expelled her. " Focus" she tells herself. Slowly as her hand merges within his chest, at first nothing . The tendrils of void she manipulates within him, following an energy lay that flows upward along his spine into his head. E: "Sorry " she whispers then she pulses more void tendrils feeling like they are squirrelling inside his head searching....searching. E:"Got it" Something almost imperceptible shifts through their bodies. The images rush through,almost sweeping her away,.Somethings are quickly gone buried again . But there is a place and an artefact. E: "I think I've got it" her voice fades She reels backwards

As soon as she exits, his spine arches in pain for a quick second, before it fades away, allowing him to straighten his posture. "Did it work?" Hunter felt different, like a small burden was removed. This was a rare feeling since he had entered his old lab, as memories of his life as a human were pressuring him, enraging him, making his taken form harder to control.

E: "I think so, it goes something like this, there is a core crystal, small enough to fit in your pocket it has something to do with how the taken are formed and what they become." She tries to hide the fact she's exhausted and pretty shaken up by what she saw. E: "could that be what your looking for?"

"it might be. I'll have to inspect it later." He takes notice to her exhaustion and shock. "You saw her get shot, didn't you? You saw an attack on a lab. What else?"

Echo looks down then looks back at Hunter. E:"the woman, who was she? I saw her ,but you... It looked like you ...." She stops unsure if what she saw was quite real. E:" she was dying you know ,you couldn't have saved her, they would have used her, you know that".

Hunter-0 sighs heavily. "She was my fiancé during my time as a human. We were working with some vex technology when," He pauses, taking a breath, "when we were attacked." His fists are clenched in a ball. His is actually bending the plating on his palms slightly. "It doesn't matter what I could or couldn't have done. It should have been me instead."

Echo's link to Hunter still remained so she felt his pain, his sorrow, and his rage. It would subside eventually although she doubted she would ever forget what she saw. E:"I have been based on Venus for the last decade I didn't find any records about an attack on any lab. Why the hush hush.

"The attack 'never happen' according to records. That and the lab was erased from records. You may remember a few gaps in information if you found records on the icebreaker." He calms down slightly, before crouching and picking up his knife, jamming the blade under the hard, chitin-like face of the wizard.

And why did integrate into an Exo system?" Her ghost appears. L:" Am I readying your transport, or has something more important turned up" The condescending tone was grating on Echo. E:"again please ignore, I need to head to Venus to pick up some gear, then I'll be heading to the dreadnaught. There is room for one more if you want to come along"

After removing the faces, taken energy moves from the "brain" of the wizard to Hunter's hand. "They wanted to get us out of the picture before we beat them to time travel. As for becoming an Exo, that was a choice made by my surviving friend. They couldn't save her, to my knowledge." He stands. "I guess I'll be joining you."

Echo smiled a sad smile, E: "Glad to have you aboard" [spoiler]will have to shut down for the night,can pick up tomorrow,hope to see you there guardian.[/spoiler]

"I'll just hitch a ride," he says, "It'll be easier. Plus, my ship will then be far away enough that they can't get to it, so we can call it over in case of emergency."

E:" planning ahead ? Good call, Loop?....Loop, can you transmat us outta here to the Damsel please" Loop appears, if a ghost can look scornful, then that's the expression it gives you both. Echo sighs "comms are up, let's get going". The Damsel is a small two man craft, it's dark on board with nothing but the glow from the console offering light. Echo flips on the auto pilot and slides her seat back. E:"It's a two hour flight other side of the warp leap, if you want to rest up that would be the time to do it, I'll need to give you a quick run down on the locals too but that can wait, anything you want to know just ask." She looks over to Hunter-0 although her helmet hides any indication of what she might be thinking.

"It's venus, we should be fine. The only question I have is if you want to see that lab? Or at least what's left of it."

E:" sure ,why not, if you think it's good idea, you seemed pretty wound up after I induced that recollection." The dark warmth of the cockpit and the hum of the engines is all encompassing, the occasional whir and click of the pressure regulator lets Echo know everything is all good.

"Great," he says with some enthusiasm. In all honesty, the only reason he was going back was to grab some smart-rounds. He figured the equipment there would be very useful. He could go the rest of his life without seeing that place again, except for his requirement of the equipment he forgot last time.

She gives him a sideways look (not that he can see). E: " about the locals, I have a base just off the shattered coast, just across the water from the entrance to the archive, been there for nearly 10 years now, whilst I wouldn't call the fallen there my friends, we tolerate each other, I don't shoot them they don't shoot me, more over they watch my place when I am gone. So keep your blade sheathed please, unless there is no other option."
