For a month, I refused to make a character, simply due to abhorrence at how Bungie had so suddenly implemented this new rule, and how it pushed out so many quality users. Their reasoning that the population affected only made up less than 1% made me laugh hysterically, seeing as how so many of that 99% are just LFG posts, duplicate posts, and terrible people in general, and also how, for a developer team so "involved" with their community, they push out the best and oldest of the members, seeing them only as statistics instead of old fans. For a month, I watched #Gaming and #Offtopic slowly die, becoming more toxic every hour. I also watched how moderation has even [i][u]declined[/u][/i], which amused me because, wasn't this new update supposedly implemented to circumvent the use of alts? It seems as if the only moderation that happens are ones that ban users over mild infractions, or just banning them just for the hell of it, while there are outright terrible users, using genocide in normal posts. Like, really? You ban someone over a compliment, but don't ban Hitler Jr. over here? Hell, there's a post around here that has a porn link that's been up since[i][u] APRIL.[/u][/i] I only made an account yesterday because I couldn't bear to watch how this place was turning into a cesspool, and standing by silently just made it feel worse. Digging out my old PS3 just to play Destiny for a few minutes to get this account back was more negative than I remember. You continue to ostracize and take your community for granted, Bungie. Don't be surprised when your bad PR bites you in the ass, like it should.
