Not true at all. I can lay down top 50 lap times with a controller all day long. And yes, the serious guys are on pc. That's always how it's been. So previous nfs games made nonfunctional spoilers functional? That's just awful.

  • GT Academy takes people from Playstation, not PC, not Xbox... So they're no serious racers? Because they don't own a PC? Do you realise that there are competitive leagues for racing games on all consoles? With many people using wheels? And yes, it is true, certain games (Mainly sims) give wheel users a BIG advantage due to the nature of throttle feathering and the amount of increments when it comes to cornering on a wheel. It allows them to take off all assists and drive flat out with very little risk Vs a controller, not to mention that manual gears are 100x easier on a wheel. There's a reason all the top tier racers in gamers are doing so on wheels, and not controllers... Because controllers carry an inherent disadvantage, so i suggest you retract that top 50 comment, because it's absolutely bogus, and also carries no credibility right now. As for the final comment, about spoilers.. I believe thats the case, that spoilers did contribute to a cars overall grip level. However, my point is this, the fact you're even asking me that, shows that you haven't done any research, yet you stand here insulting a franchise, based off what? Nothing. Why would it be awful for NFS to have some realistic elements to their games? The franchise has sold over 150million units... It's not like it's some terrible franchise. I will play all genres of games, and you'll never catch me slating a game without doing the research, so to be honest, are you even a gamer? Or just a wannabe and a snob? The way you have tried to talk sh*t about Need for Speed is embarrassing, showing that you know little about it, and think that the only good racing games are sim racers. Sim racers are great, I love them, but they get boring, real quick especially when the Wheel crowd start taking over. Arcade racers are usually far more fun, because they don't require me to have a big wheel in the house like some kind of dlckhead that doesn't know how to prioritise his finances.

  • Gt academy is an advertisement. Yes, the serious guys are on pc. It's not like I loathe arcade racers. Burnout paradise was amazing. Nfs is a steaming pile of ea. I'm so sorry I don't remember specific details from every nfs ever made. That obviously makes my argument invalid as I'm an uniformed snob.

  • Agreed, burnout paradise was a great game. GT Academy is not an advertisement, lol... It's a racing academy. You realised that the top racers from Gran Turismo get brought through into GT Academy... That's right, Playstation... Not PC. The top racers are not "All on PC", that has never been the case, and there's not an ounce of truth to that, you only have to go on Racedepartment to see that there are racing leagues for the competitive guys across all systems, and one console doesn't dominate the others. I never asked you to remember things from the entire franchise, but I'd expect you to know about the best 3 games in the franchise, seen as you wanted to slate it so much. Need for speed Underground, Underground 2 & Most wanted (the original one) are what we are talking about... People who know the NFS franchise discount everything after Carbon. You sit here slating NFS as a franchise, but Gran Turismo has not been great since GT 3 A-Spec, Forza has only lately become a great game, the earlier versions were terrible. Project cars is extremely basic, & I wouldn't even consider it a real simulation, more of a noobs sim racer, iRacing is the same old boring nonsense, just like rfactor and the others. If I wanted to do serious racing I'd get in the car and drive to Oulton park. NFS used to be amazing, because not only was the racing good enough, but there was a lot of freedom on the cars, and it was fun. That's what video games should be... Fun...

  • I don't even know what we're arguing about anymore. Will this go on until I admit nfs is generally speaking a good franchise? That's not going to happen. I agree project cars isn't very good. That's why I bought forza. Project cars is still more fun for me than any nfs game though. Video games are supposed to be fun but everyone has a different definition of fun. In a racing game I want awesome graphics, realistic physics, in depth tuning, and a large car list. I wouldn't pick up burnout paradise today as my tastes have changed. Don't you dare bash forza 4 by the way I have 2000 hours into that game haha.
