Halo is a dying series.
The hardcore Xboners are clinging onto the glory days of Halo 1 & 2. Hoping, praying. I have unfortunate news. Halo 2 was 11 years ago. It's not coming back. The series has gone through 3 developers, each substantially worse than its predecessor. 5 games into the series now, and each game has also been worse and worse since Halo 2. It went from Grade A Kobe Beef to Ground Sirloin, not even Angus. The McDonalds variety.
It's current rendition offers a laughably short Campaign with poor storytelling. You can literally beat it in an afternoon or 2, and there is no reason to go go back. Zero replay value. For a game that is essentially PVP only, we were hoping it would be perfect. It has to be, to compete with other games that offer far more variety. Sadly, it was good but not great. I grew bored of it in 2 days. We will not be talking about this game in 6 months to a year. It didn't cut it. It's time to give Master Chief a proper burial.
It's over. Grieve, wipe your tears, say goodbye, pick yourselves up, and move on. I'm sorry guys, but life will go on. Remember the good ol' days in the early 2000's if it helps you move on. Maybe even pop in some Halo 1/2 and blow some Covenent face off.

I enjoyed Halo 4, but Halo 5? I just don't care. I used to be a die-hard halo fan, but the series is just tired. Put Chief to rest already.

Three developers? Name them. It went straight from reach at Bungie to half the staff of bungie leaving and forming 343 for Halo 4. So a lot of the team are the same from the halo 2/3 days. They did let someone else make the turn based top down game.

I'll be firing it up tonight... Multi player is now RNG based, can't have a goal of "leveling" to unlock "that" piece of gear... and from what i've read a normal solo campaign run takes about 6 hours... Warzone had better be a mind blower... but guess we'll see. I don't think i'll be away from Destiny or my clan for more than a couple of days...

My one match of Warzone was awesome. My team of randoms sucked, so the objectives were lost fairly quickly, but if you had teams of equal skill level as a whole, you could keep fighting back and forth for a long time. 20 v 20, yet no lag. Multiplayer is RNG based? Lolwtf? Only use those req cards in warzone, and in my one match (with over a 3.0 KD), it took me 10-12 minutes to get enough energy to buy the tank. I'm sure the energy needed for req cards will balance them out, so you can't use them right out of the gate. and Titanfall used burncards.... still a fun balanced game (besides instant titan and map hack)

I was at work, What i meant was unlocking items for multiplayer is RNG based. I had time for one game as well last night by the time i had it installed. After playing it i still don't like the RNG aspect of the cards and what you have access to, but in game it does seem well done. The last couple of Halo games you worked to unlock certain parts of armor, emblems, stance etc... I still don't like the idea of RNG grab bags for custom looks. We have enough of that here with Destiny's drops.Other than that, the game seams great so far

I love war zone so far. Just the 12 v. 12 would be enough but they add covenant prometheans and team marines! I think it is great! I could imagine dominating with a full Fireteam of 12

I had enough time to play a round of Warzone after i finally got it DL'd on two machines... Besides re adjusting to Halo controls and play it was pretty amazing... a full team will be awesome
