While the gameplay of arena looks pretty tight, it also looks, visually, like it lacks any kind of artistry.
It seems incredibly mechanical and has the visual styling of a F2P game.
I still want to play it but yeesh. None of the character of CE through Reach. I didn't bother with 4.

Dude how many arena maps have you actually played? They are awesome, especially the one in an underwater Base with the giant alien Wales swimming around outside. It sounds like you are basing your comment solely on breakout.

I'm not talking about maps I'm talking about characters and animations. Maps are fine. I don't mind if the maps are a bunch of orange polygons, would not bother me one bit if they're well designed. But the characters and weapons look cheap and move awkwardly. Ragdolls look like they're from 2002.
