Why non christian holidays will never be featured in destiny

It has been made very clear that the destiny community wants some sort of christmas event in the tower. However people, like me, are begining to question if other religous holidays like ramadan would be given the same light of day. The bottom line is this is not a religous issue. Just like your nieghborhood CVS, destiny will only ever promote COMMERCIAL HOLLIDAYS. These hollidays include halloween, christmas, new years, valentines day, thanksgiving, and the like. Most of these are non religous holidays but they all tend to generate the most money becuase more consumers are interested in them. Edit1 title is not a question I am asking. It is a fact i am stating.

  • Were the spelling errors intentional? That aside, Christmas isn't celebrated specifically, it's the holidays that are. Since there are so many within a tight date/time group, that's what is recognized as a time for family and celebration, regardless of your religious upbringing. Atheists celebrate the holidays. Thanksgiving wasn't celebrated last year, nor do I think it will be this year, either. It's an American specific holiday. Halloween is celebrated throughout the world, so are the holidays, so is Valentine's. If a majority group celebrates something, there's a high chance that there will be an event for it. Ramadan is a religious holiday just like Easter or Yom Kipur. I don't think we'll be chasing eggs around the Tower come springtime, but that's just my two cents.
