So sick of abusive Raid Teams...

You guys know the ones. The teams that are always elitists, that get pissed off every time you die, the ones who berate you for playing a Warlock, and especially those who implement a strategy completely different than what you're used to and they expect you to be able to get it down first try. Don't tell me I'm the only one that's been there? I play hardcore, don't get me wrong, but when it gets to the point where name-calling and yelling and screaming happens, that's not motivation. That's just downright abuse. Edit: It sucks to know so many people can relate to this bullshit, but good to know there are others out there who are just as sick of it as I am. :)

I don't get mad at people, but I do get tired of teaching. I think the biggest frustration is that people will come in brand new to a group, with no clue of what's to come. If you are new to a raid that has been out for a while, you should look it up and watch some YouTube guides to at least get an idea of what your job will be. Some people will say "ya but I want to experience it with not knowing what's coming next" and I get that, but no one wants to wipe over and over and over, while you figure out how to jump the daughters platforms. Don't rely on randoms to be patient with your ignorance

  • I noticed this a lot yesterday i.e why I'm taking a break from raiding. It seems, on XBOX, all the chilled players have left for Halo 5 and we've been left with the worst. NF was an absolute nightmare yesterday - first group repeatedly got killed in the asylum and didn't rushing to dark blade on the final bit. As for strikes. Jesus wept. Lvl 40s struggling on Devil's Lair. I kid you not.

    • Had bungie designed the previous raids with similar difficulty I think this would not be a problem. Most players have not had to perform under these conditions. With less than 20% of the player base completing the raid (possibly less than 10%) it's quite clear this is not "easy" for the average player and it shouldn't be. This is supposed to be the hardest content. However, does bungie really want 80% of their players struggling to complete content? Do they want to risk losing a large chunk of paying customers? Time will tell. Its clear the TTK raid has exposed the learning curve of the masses.

        • I don't experience this because I am a quick learner, so if you give me the throw down I'll do it But can we talk about the try hard elites The ones that truly suck but talk big only to quit after they die 10 times and afterwards say you suck?

            • When I discovered Destiny had raids I nearly traded it in. I played WoW for four years and it pretty much put me off raids for life. Our lovely little guild was destroyed by a small group of snide, elitist interlopers who wanted to control everything - and when we resisted tore the guild apart. With Destiny I was resigned for a long time never to raid, until I came across the100. Thanks to that site I am a member of a great group, Bravo Company 287. I completed hard VoG and Crota, Skolas, and got my Year 1 emblem thanks to them. They're a great group of players, chilled and friendly, and I'm proud to be a member. I would seriously recommend to anyone that they check the site out, and try a group or two. They might just restore your faith in humanity.

            • Was with a team on HM Warpriest the other day, this one KID, maybe 15, was cussing and swearing at people. On the 2nd wipe, he raged so hard he broke his mic. Everyone was laughing at him at that point. "Good, now we can focus", someone said. We beat it on the next try, which he died on. It was AMAZING. We get to Golgoroth, he dies. Twice. He leaves, we get a new guy. Beat it on next try. Most great players don't need to act that way. He was relying on everyone ELSE to do his job, so if we messed up it was bad for him. It just shows that those people are actually the weak links. Oh, the irony.

              • Funny thing is, I joined a group of 310+ at Oryx hard cp and 2 of them always died on the beginning part where the thralls and knights spawn. Left after 4 tries.

              • Why don't you try making friends and raiding with the same people every week? This sounds like a problem on lfg. The only problem I ever have on lfg is picking up people that say they have experience, and then come in and have no idea what the hell to do. I get it people need to learn, but don't false advertise.

              • I agree. Started running a raid last night and a couple guys complained about everything from the very beginning. I should have left within the first few minutes but put up with it until the Sisters. We spent so much time there, when that is the easiest part. They were complaining about everyone else but they were the ones dying and messing up more then others. I finally got fed up and left and found a new group and finished the raid 20 minutes later. The raid is not hard when people communicate and stop having their panties in a bunch

              • Dying once or twice depending on how far along the boss you are. But passed that the thing is now you're wasting everyone's time so yeah I'll be annoyed. If you can't get the job done someone else will.

I will say this much: King's Fall Hard is by far the toughest raid I've dealt with. And my clanmates have gotten snippy with each other, on occasion, which honestly never happened before. Also, if you want to compare for comparison's sake, Evolve was insanely horrible when it was released. RELEASED. I quit playing after two or three weeks. The Destiny community, overall, is way better.

                • Been there plenty of times. Good thing for me is I am fire team leader 90% of the time and usually have 4 friends I always raid with. If I get one of these a$$hats they usually get dasboot pretty quickly and then we move on with another member.
