The fact that bungie fixed these gimmicks means they weren't intended. So yeah it was cheating. In a life or death battle, I'd shoot whoever it is then throw them off the cliff. However as you say, this is just a game. All I'm saying is stop living behind your convenient lie that "cheesing" is somehow different from cheating.
