Knights were introduced to change how people do the encounter. Tell me, regardless of strategy or 'cheese' or whatever, was the method of clearing the encounter changed? The answer is yes, so Bungie accomplished what they wanted. Just because some people were too stupid to think of it doesn't mean Bungie didn't intend for the strategy to be used. Regardless of strategy, the drinker knights are dealt with as intended (you prevent them from stealing the bombs).

This was thought of prior to hard mode. It's how they two manned oryx on normal. It's a cheese buddy

Edited by contra_reality: 10/26/2015 5:36:46 PMWhat mechanic is skipped? Strategy deals with a mechanic while cheesing skips it. Knights still spawn so the mechanic is still encountered.

There was more added to this encounter than the knights. 1st is that Oryx enrages after 5 cycles. Normal is after 7 cycles. Also thralls appear at mortors and appear more frequently during the shade.

Yeah, but only the knights changes a team's strategy.
Yeah, but only the knights changes a team's strategy.
i guess you dont know of a previous strategy called the 16 bomb strat. You dont even need to shoot at oryx and make him flinch. Its been out for a while now. Its the basis for the no knight strategy.

So every team used the 16 bomb strategy with selfres warlocks? Yes there are strategies that work for both, but that's not the point. They aim to change the general approach and last I checked 16 bombs was not the general approach.

its still cheese

So we kill Oryx for still cheese? But I prefer mine to be gooey :p
