Pfft look at all these losers complaining about making a raid easier by whining about skipping 4 stupid knights that are just a bloody annoyance in a raid that gives crappy weps. This raids rewards are hardly worth the effort needed to get them. Sorry but i hold the weapons from VoG and CE as the standard of what raid weapons should be. Which is "The best of the best for PvE".
Come on, someone try and tell me that there was a better Hand Cannon for PvE than the Fatebringer, or a better sniper rifle in PvE than the Black Hammer. Go for it i dare ya! The only god damn thing that's worth a damn in this new raid is the pulse rifle and that's only because of the fact it is the only pulse rifle in the game that can have firefly. Don't lie, lmfao.
Let's be honest, the only reason most of the people bother with the raid is so they can get to the highest light levels possible, which is now 310+. So far this raid seems to just piss people off, and lacks a "fun" factor.
Here;s a test for everyone who gets to the end of my post. Mention to everyone you do the raid with that there will be no more elemental primaries, and watch how many people lose interest in the raid completely. Just try it.

I loved black hammer in year one, but i prefered efreedits spear with surplus for double the gally shots per ammo drop

True, until nothing seems to drop heavy ammo haha, and besides if you were using the black hammer it was most likely because of a boss. In which case Surplus would be fairly worthless outside of a couple strikes like winters run or nexus if you went down. In terms of stand alone weapon performance in PvE i ask, which was better, particularly against bosses/strong enemies? Black Hammer or Efrideets Spear?

Black hammer without question. Just sayin i used my spear more often just for surplus.

A fair enough point, and as such i used my LDR because of field scout and firefly a tad more due to being more efficient against non boss encounters and ease of use.

Twas quite the loss sadly. It was an amazing perk for a gun in a PvE focused game. Pretty sure i never saw people complain that field scout was too OP on the forums so i am still stumped as to why bungie really did that. The nerf was literally pointless.

My mg 18a harms way was beast with 100 in the mag. Now that did wreck in crucible mind you, id be lucky as f to use all its ammo before death. So thats why they killed it i think. My LDR had field scout and final round. With 6 in the mag i hardly ever got my final round perk except for bosses. It also had surplus. Quite a good sniper in year 1.

I think the scout rifle with full auto is as effective as the VoC was for me.

Yes i am sure it is just as good in a nightfall with solar burn and just as good as the VoC was at tearing wizards and centurions a new one. How's the 27 round mag and 320 rounds in reserve working because of field scout? Ah right that wasn't fair, since bungie F'ed up field scout too just out of spite and removing it from all new weapons just for the luls afterwards. Which was better? CE raid rocket launcher or KF raid rocket launcher? CE raid Hand cannon or KF raid hand cannon? CE raid scout rifle or KF scout rifle? See where i am going now? If this is what we are to expect from future end game weapons, then the future is bleak with this franchise. If the only way bungie can make the new raid weapons relevant is by completely obliterating the previous ones from past raid weapons by making the old ones useless 3x over. Then following that trend how bad will the next raid weapons be in comparison to the KF raid weapons. Think about it and hopefully you will understand why i get a little antsy over the topic.

I agree. And cocoon is a joke for a primary. Live it on the mg though. The hc is slower than constipated poop even with a loader gauntlet. I havent gotten the scout yet. But my hung jury needs an infusion

The scout with full auto is basically voc without burn. still really effective, I use it to stagger oryx. but hung jury is really amazing period. so I have been putting it off for a while but I should probably do it
