You are avoiding the mechanic of having to kill the Knights so they don't eat your orbs. That is a cheat. The golgoroth strat isn't a cheese because you aren't avoiding any mechanics, you still have to do it all.

if bungie wanted it to be a mandatory thing to deal with, they would have had the adds and the knights simply spawn X seconds after the ogre spawns. They did not do it this way, and thus it is a valid strategy. The knights still spawn, and still try to destroy the bombs (or you if your near it) we are just simply faster then they are and avoid the mechanic. Its no different then not killing the boomer knights on Crota to not have the wiz spawn. expect a change for challenge mode that will not allow this, but it wont be changed for heroic
-
not so. knights still spawn. they just can't get to the blights in time. no mechanic is being canceled or skipped. I think it should be patched. But that doesn't make this a cheese. But it's pretty close.
-
if you kill the Adept b4 you kill all the adds you know what will happen so most don't kill the adept. if you kill ogres knights spawn and take bombs.. I dunno about you but this is more smart then a cheese
-
The adepts are already spawned. You kill the acolytes first then the adept. You are preventing the Knights from spawning. That is avoiding a mechanic. By killing the adepts last, you are actually following the mechanic as you are supposed to. Bad comparison on your part
-
Avoiding the mechanic? Are you stupid? You are saying people avoid spawning the Knights NEWSFLASH THE KNIGHTS STILL SPAWN smh
-
They spawn so late they aren't even a threat. At all.
-
Now you've changed your argument. But the sword in their hand begs to differ that they are a threat. No mechanic is avoided the Knights are still a threat. What's your next argument?
-
And if they are still a threat, then why do the strat, hmmm? They armed a threat. The reason people do the strat is because it makes it easier, eliminates having to deal with the Knights.
-
If you say so. In any game or sport people do the easiest "strategy". I bet you one of those guys who if their football teams run defense sucks you say dumb shiit like "if they didn't run on us they wouldn't have won" I lol at those type of guys. The other team must have cheesed right?
-
I think you have completely misunderstood what I said. I'm saying the no knight strat is a bad thing. I'm not saying cheering is a bad thing. I'm simply saying that the no knight strat is a cheese because it avoids some of the mechanics (the Knights have basically no chance of getting to your orb). It's the easier way of doing it. That's why people do it. Not sure where you came up with that football analogy, it's completely unrelated, not even the right type of reaction.

Edited by Poonie-G4: 10/26/2015 8:20:00 PMWhy said the Knights should have a chance? The mechanic is to....ding ding ding.... GIVE THEM NO CHANCE! Who they hell is trying their best to give the Knights the best chance to get their blight? Is that what you doing in your raids? Really???
-
It's not a cheese, it's just maybe not a strategy that Bungie thought of
-
Enrage is a part of the mechanics as well. So beating the boss before this happens is a cheese?
-
Beating any boss before enrage is what's supposed to happen. Do you think we are supposed to let enrage happen?

Edited by Phg-Brah: 10/26/2015 5:18:11 PMLol they never played mmos fights before.
-
What I mean is it's not a cheese waiting to kill ogres. I just used your statement about mechanics to prove a silly point.
-
In crota hard he enrages every time
-
-
Work smarter not harder. It's not a cheese it's a strategy. Scrub
-
You are avoiding a mechanic. By all means do it, I won't say don't, but realize that by "definition" (lol definition of slang) it's a cheese because you are avoiding.
-
Avoiding the Knights spawning right? That's your argument? Well NEWSFLASH THEY STILL SPAWN
-
It is in no way a cheese. It is a strategy just like standing on the ledge to shoot crota was a strategy. It is still a risky strategy that does have risk involved with it. So stop calling it a cheese and realize when people design games they are not able to always tell what people will do to beat their game.
-
Cheese does not equal no risk. The middle "strat" was in fact a cheese. I am not saying a cheese is bad, I'm simply defining.
-
Not a cheese. You ain't to bright if you think so. It is a strategy plain and simple. The knights still spawn and the ogres still spawn. The only thing that changes is the order in which you kill them. Like what the hell is wrong with you? Lol
