• The Hive Dreadnaught, Rings of Saturn This was a bad idea. Arko had always been too headstrong for his own good, and now it was going to get him killed. He wondered where it went wrong as five knights slowly marched across the disintegrated ashes of their fallen Hive brethren, walking towards the pillar which the hunter had taken cover behind. As Arko raised his Void Edge, taking it in both hands to prepare for the fight which was moments away. Breath in, breath out. Breath in, breath out. He could hear the footsteps of the knights rumbling on the ground; they were but a few meters away. So Arko did what his instincts told him to do: fight them off. The hunter shadestepped quickly out from behind the pillar, swinging his Void Edge three times in quick succession, ravaging one of the knights while damaging another. The three unharmed ones stumbled in surprise, but quickly regained their composure and came in for a coordinated attack as Arko parried and riposted an attack from the already-damaged knight, ending it quickly. Three left. The first swing came, which Arko blocked. The second followed, which Arko shadestepped away from. The third swing came in the form of a charge, and Arko simply sidestepped before putting two gashes in the knight, disintegrating it. The leader of the knight cadre grabbed the last subordinate knight by the helmet, threw him to the ground and beheaded him before facing Arko, beckoning for a challenge by pointing his blade in the guardian's direction. The hunter spun his Void Edge in his hands before running in to face the final foe. This one was no pushover, however, and fought with ferocity and strength that tripled that of the first four. The two dueled in a dance of Hive magic and Void light, trading blows and parries with precision and grace. But it took Arko one misstep for the knight to backhand him away, sending the hunter tumbling backwards and slamming him against a pillar. Arko's sword skittered away on the floor of the Mausoleum as the knight approached, cackling in a sick fashion and raising his cleaver to deal the final blow... until Arko quickly drew his hand cannon and unloaded the entirety of the eight-shot mag into the knight's head. It fell back, disintegrating to the floor, and the room became silent as Arko went to recover his Void Edge. ((Open))
