Summed up the essay worth of type above. Hate to say Bungie is right but if they had Elemental raid guns I would only use them. As it stands now I am alwsys check stats and leveling new guns just to see if I like them.
Elemental infusions would solve all these issues though. Let us pick what primary weapons we want to be elemental.

Yes, because blowing threw shields in two shots with a mediocre gun is still better then 5 shots with a great gun. As for trash clearing, year 2 gave us some amazing trash clearing supers.

Assuming the shield matches, right? That's a 1 in 3 chance on the <1% of enemies with shields, and you're still going to main the same gun 24x7? And if the shield doesn't match? You're using a mediocre gun when you could've been using a great one. Clearly we have different play styles.
