I just don't see whats wrong with having elemental primaries.

Bungie views them as too strong so instead of scaling the difficulty of the enemies to account for elemental primaries they just remove them from the game entirely. It seems to be a common theme with Bungie removing things from the game See: Quiver, Vertigo, the original story

Hahaha so true. Its mainly because of the way Destiny was built. I heard something along the lines of if Bungie wanted to move a patrol beacon 2 inches it would take about 1-2 days
