Or you know, if you actually read the update you would know that hardmode was designed first, with normal mode being a toned down version.

Yes exactly, which would imply hard mode would've contained SOMETHING new and different that was removed to dumb it down to normal. Sounds like hard mode basically had minimal changes at all to the whole thing just no Rez and level 42 as expected. WHAT A JOKE.

No, there is 1 or 2 new mechanics added for each boss. Any more and it would be too much

A new ability for the warpreist is not what I call a mechanic they added that for people who can't stay alive golgeroth new thing is for people who don't have screen awareness daughters is for people that panic under pressure and forget which way is counter clockwise and oryx is for the people who can't land crit shots
