A couple of things come to mind when I put on my spinmetal bs detector hat...
Bungie must have seen that more than a few players were using loads of weapons parts to level up factions quicker than anticipated. So, nerf.
Or, bungie saw that many players were having fun upgrading all kinds of stuff and playing the game the way they want to. Oops, nerf.
Or, bungie has a spin wheel on the wall and every week some intern gets to play "spin for nerf" and this week it was weapon parts!

So, nerf.[/quote] The simplest fix for that would have been just to reduce the amount of faction rep you get for weapon parts. That would slow your faction gains without screwing up infusion and upgrades. I can't understand why Bungie would make a global change like drop rates to fix a local issue like faction rep.

Bungie does a lot of things that are difficult to understand. Personally, I think they just enjoy shooting themselves in the foot over and over

Lol Well, they did patch that anomaly Which my thought was, great, but why spend time on something trivial and kinda neat!
