Yeah, the reasoning was... a bit lacking, to put it nicely. When vague, non-answers are given, my mind automatically goes to the worst possible scenario (weapon part packs for silver? )

This! It also explains the disclaimer at the Everest kiosk that states: "[u]Consumables are non-returnable[/u]". Since Emotes are NOT consumables.......

Jackolytes are consumables too; are you gonna be mad at Bungie if people are wearing a goofy pumpkin head that does absolutely nothing for their stats, materials, progression, etc.?
