  • The "front" of a room is subjective. It's based off of what the central visual focal point is. Using the same model below, but placing the door on the right or left side of the room the "front" is still where the teacher is because the teacher and chalkboard are where the class should be looking. Some rooms have no "front". These rooms are typically designed for interactions. OP's argument is since his fireteam enters, what he believes is, the front door then he is in the front of the room (i.e. Entering the front door to a house). However the door does not indicate the front of any room. It's only the front door because the main focus of a building or home is indeed the front. So how do we determine the front? The Throne room is interactive with it's subjects. Oryx moves about the room causing us to maintain our focus on him. There is no true front. Therefore, we must determine our space by where we are in our "greater space". We are on a ship. Are we facing the bow when we enter the room or is it aft? Is it starboard or port? It's a fun argument but for the sake of friendships it's probably best to just come up with what your fireteam decides it should be. There are more important things to argue about like, "why didn't you get that Ogre down fast enough." Or, "you left you plate too soon."
