Why is everyone even mentioning rng? This has nothing to do with rng... "Oh you don't like time gates?! Fine! -blam!- the whole quest line and go to rng..."
No one is thinking this.... So stfu about rng ultimatums. Just replace timegates with a new quest step or skip it all together, it's pointless and lazy to do otherwise.

I now need to wait until paradox is the daily again... And THEN il probably have to wait until the exotic quest is released again. No one has time for this BS, constantly checking what the daily is and having to be available one -blam!-ing day to complete it or its gone for weeks. Absolute wank.

Paradox was the daily when the NTTE quest line popped up... It has been the daily before, it will become the daily again... Don't be so butt hurt about the timed releases because [b]YOU[/b] didn't get a chance to have it handed out to you. I'm not a big fan of this mechanic, but it's sure beats being lucky with RNG drops as it used to be in Year One. On top of that, the exotic bounties back then were basically the same thing. This new quest approach is just a clever way of Bungie to keep people looking into the game regularly. Does that make it bad? I don't think so, it's a nice way of blending them in with the rest of the gameplay. Also, sometimes having to wait for Arms Day actually makes sense... Plenty of time to do other stuff in between you know...

He is mentioning RNG as it is the main way we used to get exotics, the other being bounties. He's got a valid point... Also, don't speak as if you are representing the rest of the community, you aren't. Have some common decency and reply properly when someone else is trying to get a discussion going.

People are bringing up RNG because besides buying exotics from Mr. Lou Xur, it was the only way to obtain them prior to the new quest methods. So when someone is complaining about a new method, it's only natural to question/compare if it's better/worse than the previous. C'mon Billy, you knew that. Now that Billy is up to speed, I will say again, the timed releases really don't bother me (or a lot of other people according to this thread). If everyone could just burn through these guaranteed weapon quests immediately, you know the forums would be a blaze with people complaining there is nothing left to do. If it really gets you as butt hurt as you seem in your response, maybe try knitting, or underwater basket weaving. Something to mellow you out, you know? Deep breathes dude, it will all be ok :)
