This is not a good enough reason to reduce the number of parts we get. It's like reducing worldwide food production because a few have too much food, while some are starving. Stupid.
further adjustments may be in order?
This is not a matter of if adjustments are in order, it is a matter of adjustments are needed. No one thought they had too many parts and wanted to have less.
Bump until Bungie clearly get the message.
Edit: We're trending, gw people. Keep up the bumping. Make your own post on the issue. Whatever we have to do to make sure that every time a Bungie employee checks the forums, the first thing they lay their eyes on is a "weapons parts issue" post.

i am now using the gunsmith legendaries as my primary source of weapon parts
-
-
Yup. At this point I'm more excited to get weapon parts than an exotic. Not kidding.

Edited by Mattman: 10/23/2015 2:39:20 PMSo ummm...if you don't use ANY weapon parts and you have a stockpile you don't want. Dismantle??..... Problem solved.
-
Again, it seems like everyone who's complaining about weapon parts burned theirs trying to get perfect rolls for IB last year or just haven't played long enough. If you burned yours last year, sorry. If you burned them upgrading every Exotic/Legendary, again, sorry. It's a resource and resources need to be managed.

Will work for weapon parts
-
-
This is a serious issue. I have lots of upgraded nodes on guns and no parts to upgrade. I have lots of rare guns to infuse but no parts for infusing. I pens to much time trying to farm these.

Edited by ArchangelM1KEY: 10/23/2015 1:12:44 PMWhen TTK first dropped I thought "Upgrading weapons and gear doesn't seem as much of a grind. GREAT!" When I heard about this nerf I thought "Here we go again." Bungie, do you realize some of us are trying to have fun playing this game and that incessantly farming materials and grinding just to level up one weapon isn't all that enjoyable. It's like anytime players are too successful you find it necessary to slap us down. It's getting old. P.S. Why can't all materials be as easy to farm as bloody worm spore?
-
Bump. -blam!- bungie for -blam!-ing us over and over again. A guardian can only take so much. How the hell are we going to protect the last city on earth if we do not even have the necessary materials to upgrade our gear. "Hey go to war with this gun, but you have to find the parts first then assemble it." -blam!- you bungie!
-
It's to the point that I'm praying each blue engram is is a weapon engram so that I can at least get ONE more weapon part. Just have Banshee fvcking sell them!! I'm constantly capped on glimmer and out of weapon parts
-
Sadly bungie lies to us constantly now.
-
Bungie fix by take away. This is known.
-
I get way too many weapon parts, I have put about 800+ into factions since TTK upgraded and infused countless times and am only down 100 from where I started the dlc...
-
Bump, I agree. I'm sitting on about 60 wp as it is. I personally like to be armed to the teeth I like switching up my weapons often and for the task at hand. However with the nerf I can no longer viably do this, as that would require a rediciousl amount of time. I have the motes to get all my weapon exp up. But I can't upgrade them. I'd rather farm planet materials from back in the day. tl;dr NEED MOAR PARTS, UPGRADE ALL OF THE WEAPONS

Edited by THE N0D: 10/23/2015 11:59:39 AMI am going to comment in here daily ha. This is a real problem, the grind is real, the grind has gone too far on this one... I have been low on parts most of year 2, only just getting by, so now after this nerf and a load of new gear to level up after the raid and light level increase, i will spend most my time needing parts, how sad is that! I get a nice legendary drop, 270 though. That is 40-50 parts to get that item to 310 alone, soon to be higher, plus upgrading. I wonder how many hours I would need to grind this game to upgrade that gun, could be 70 parts in total, so maybe 80 blue weapon engrams would be needed, complete madness Parts and strange coins are the only things we want, you can take my whole inventory and I wouldnt care, yet they nerf what we need, cnuts
-
My "solution" is to turn the gunsmith Arms day into the Parts day. You can level the weapons before breaking them for more marks (and parts?)
-
The grind is exhausting. Yeah, it's awesome that some people have tons but for the rest of us we seem to not have too much. I was jacked in TTK that I didn't have to game religiously to have fun so I could upgrade my gear. They took that feeling away and now it's more "I'll show up once or twice a week for the raid and then peace out". A stupid change that I hope gets fixed.
-
I'm at 0, and I've been there for awhile. This is just from exotics.
-
Sucks cause I had 200 now I got 90
-
Yeah put parts in the travelers or gunsmiths economy. I have been saying this since HoW. The reason is some players use pve and pvp load outs in each character while others gate items or don't play pvp.
-
I have like, no more supplies anymore... it sucks grinding for a small amount of materials, or spending all my glimmer on gunsmith weapons to dismantle for parts
-
I have over 1k.....
-
Bump. I threw all my parts away rerolling guns in HoW. That worked out well. I've resorted to buying exotic guns from the blueprints and dismantling them that's how desperate I am.
-
My reading: We planned to screw you up again but it might be entirely game breaking so we may have to change a little the weapon part drops.
