"...Some players use a LOT of Parts, whereas others use almost none..."

This is not a good enough reason to reduce the number of parts we get. It's like reducing worldwide food production because a few have too much food, while some are starving. Stupid.
further adjustments may be in order?
This is not a matter of if adjustments are in order, it is a matter of adjustments are needed. No one thought they had too many parts and wanted to have less. Bump until Bungie clearly get the message. Edit: We're trending, gw people. Keep up the bumping. Make your own post on the issue. Whatever we have to do to make sure that every time a Bungie employee checks the forums, the first thing they lay their eyes on is a "weapons parts issue" post.

    • Did stacking a bunch of weapon parts have a breaking impact on the game? No? Then why the hell do this. This patch has a direct impact on breaking the game. I can't even infuse anymore

    • I think you got it backwards. The whole world has too much food but a few are starving. Food overall is wasted. It would be nice to share food.

    • 80 Weapon Parts Across (ALL) My Characters! This is complete bullsh.. We need a way to trade stuff in at the gunsmith for weapon parts. Or even add them as rewards for completing each field test weapon. You get a stack of Weapon Parts as well as Gunsmith Rep.

      • I think a big reason why people are suffering, which I am now, is infusing uses sooo many weapon parts.

      • Honestly not sure how anybody is low on them, I get that they were spent on rerolling but I did a fair bit of that too, and glimmer was much more often the limiting factor there. Only reason I am even remotely low on them is because of trading in for faction rep.

That would be like saying don't go full retard before saying something but, however this is not case with Luke smith or Deej.

Hey guys, so here's a little tip if you didn't know this already. Don't immediately dismantle those Rare weapons you're getting running Strikes! Let them pile up in the Vault for a while. After you have several of each Primary, Special, and Heavy, make sure you have plenty of Motes of Light and go get one of each type of Telemetry. Or if you are like me, you might have a bunch of specific ones left over from Year 1. You can use one of each of those too. Use your Telemetries, then equip a full set of Rare weapons and start going to town with your Motes of Light. Get all nodes unlocked on a weapon, switch it out for the next one, rinse and repeat until all nodes are unlocked on all those Rares. Obviously you don't need to purchase the nodes, just make sure they are all unlocked fully. Then just get to dismantling! You will get anywhere from 3-6 Weapon Parts from each, and also 1-2 Motes from them. You won't make up for all the Motes you spent doing this, but you'll get back a nice big chunk of them. Plus, Motes drop like crazy nowadays. You'll most definitely be rolling in Weapon Parts though, and that's what we were going for anyway! EDIT: Forgot to mention that Primaries tend to level up significantly slower than Specials and Heavies. So if you do this often, it's a good idea to have a Class Item that increases gains on Scouts, Pulses, Hand Cannons, and Autos, one of each. Then when you are doing this, just slap on the class item you need to help with whatever type of Primary you're doing. This will save you some Motes. I know this isn't breaking news guys, but I'm sure there are some out there that hadn't thought of this so I thought I'd share. Since I started doing this I've not had ANY Weapon Part shortages, so it is definitely worth the effort. Happy Infusing, Guardians!

              • bump for parts had another post trending on this for over a week fyi: I like testing weapons - it is a hobby-in-a-hobby but it uses a lot of parts, started TTK with about 1000 and now down to around 100 which includes dismantling a lot of stuff without testing and cutting back on infusions ( I should probably write reviews since there isn't much since day 1 I haven't tested)

              • agreed If they were worried about the faction rep for weapon parts they should have reduced the rep payouts and increased the weapon parts drop(would have been a better solution.)
