This is not a good enough reason to reduce the number of parts we get. It's like reducing worldwide food production because a few have too much food, while some are starving. Stupid.
further adjustments may be in order?
This is not a matter of if adjustments are in order, it is a matter of adjustments are needed. No one thought they had too many parts and wanted to have less.
Bump until Bungie clearly get the message.
Edit: We're trending, gw people. Keep up the bumping. Make your own post on the issue. Whatever we have to do to make sure that every time a Bungie employee checks the forums, the first thing they lay their eyes on is a "weapons parts issue" post.

Edited by TouchGamer: 10/22/2015 11:28:05 PMI'm completely out of weapon parts(on my titan). And I don't think 2500 glimmer for 3 weapon parts is a fair trade...
-
The drop rate is fine, what we need is a currency exchange system where weapon/armor parts are in a market with planet materials. My raid ghost has shit out somewhere north of 600 wormspore, and one of my items has used it thus far.
-
Banshee needs to just sell the god damn things. Wtf does a gunsmith smith guns with if not weapon parts. Nor would it be game breaking in any way... We can buy unlimited ammo synths and telemetries... Why not weapon parts. Give glimmer economic value
-
I see a bump here
-
Are lack of weapon parts a really problem for some? Day 1 player here never noticed any lack after TTK...could just be getting lucky I suppose.
-
-
-
I haven't even burnt my weapon parts up with the factions, I've just used them to upgrade weapons that I have, and I've gone from more than I know what to do with, to none whatsoever, without even realising it had happened! That was one change that really wasn't needed
-
-
Agreed..
-
i don't even see the problem with faction rep if you have a lot. what does anyone really get from packages? some pair of boots you'll delete 10 seconds later? maybe 1 in ten give you a weapon worth keeping
-
Serves you right for burning them for faction rep. I have over 3000 weapon parts across all 3 characters so come at me!
-
I used to be the always out of weapon parts guy, so when TTK came out i started saving them, got around 400, which i withdrew from my vault after i ran out while using motes of light to level up my No Time To Explain. Pretty much i leveled up using motes, upgraded a few skills, withdrew weapon parts, upgraded a few more skills, but came up shy in XP, so i went to use motes of light..... and deleted my stack of almost 400 weapon parts, all gone within a couple seconds.... right after this update too, marvelous,,,
-
I don't understand why they would need to mess with weapon parts at all. Why does it matter that some people have enough to upgrade a hundred guns? The people that like to use multiple weapons and upgrade them are the ones affected by this, me included. I wouldn't have a problem if I could get as many weapon engrams as I do armor but that's not the case. The expression "if it ain't broke don't fix it" comes to mind here. I'm baffled by how bungie tries to "fix" things were perfectly fine, i.e. the nightfall, while failing to look at other parts of their game that are blatantly broken. I love this game but I don't understand their decisions half the time.
-
-
I don't personally need weapon parts but people should at least be able to buy some with motes or something if they're stuck. Also, for anyone in real need, play 4 or 5 heroic strikes. You get a huge amount of engrams that give a good amount of weapon and armour materials.
-
-
I mean... grind more. It's the point of the game.
-
Makes no sense why they made such an adjustment. You have my full support OP.
-
Just look at all of these people complaining now about not having the weapon parts they need to upgrade guns simply because of the fact that they made a poor decision and burned them all off trying to get a perfect roll on weapons during the HoW. This is exactly how Bungie are going to justify their decision to leave reforging out of the game, so if you were one of these people you only have yourself to thank for losing the ability to reforge weapons.

I'm certainly feeling the burn, and had hundreds before TTK. Infusion killed nearly all of them (10 is too damn many for infusion, btw). That said, it's a fairly simple fix, just add Armor and Weapon parts to the list of materials that the Quartermasters sell. By now we should all have enough Legendary Marks and little to spend them on, I'd happily trade a few for the option to buy what I need.
-
Bump cuz I've been broke on parts since HoW lol
-
The reforge is what broke me hahahaha
-
Hi i need weaponparts. Had about 600-1000 on each character before ttk now i got 5-10 on each. Give us weaponparts for glimmer!!! Or motes or coins or whatever
-
They are really annoying and doing it on purpose. But regardless they need to change it back bc they are pissing a lot of ppl off.
