Most quests can be done in a day (hence why we have to wait till the reset) Bounties can be done easily solo and take very little time to do. The crucible is a complete mess and has been since day one. My point is content is added too slowly considering what it takes to complete it. For example i would love to get the gemini but for some stupid reason you can only get a max of 1000 queens wrath rep a week. It takes 3000 to level up. The only reason to play once your above 300 light is the max out your gear. The only way to do that is by doing the raid (can easily get all 3 characters through the raid in a few hours) or wait for xur on friday to get 3 of coins and go for 310 exotics to use for infusion. Armsday is a nice little bonus but even then everything that offers can be done in a few hours (unless ofcourse the quest has to wait for...........................you guessed it the damn weekly reset) Most quests offer crappy rewards which are nearly always worse then what you already have. The nightfalls are a complete joke and a massive waste of time. Like i said the game is only worth playing 3 days of the week the other days are just the players going around on autopilot.
